Is it my imagination or is Trump now literally incapable of talking about anyone without giving them an insulting cutesy poo nickname?

Because Trump and Moscow Mitch wouldn't be able to depend on the republicans falling in line to support whatever laws or confirmations they want to pass. Republicans want to confirm Ted Bundy to be the next supreme court justice? Sessions might just say no just to spite trump. Want to try another health care repeal? Again, he might just vote no.

(Note that this is just a theoretical scenario, which would depend on trump being re-elected but with a reduced majority in the Senate, neither one of which is assured.)

The "numbers" being a low count for infection due to not counting via testing. Easy, when you don't want to know.

I don't hate myself to back through his Tweet history and run a trend analysis on it, but I got the impression he used to occasionally just call people by their name.

His childish bullying is turning into forced affect, an act he thinks he has to keep up.

It's that moment in every troll's lifecycle where they try too hard.

Now I am convinced that Azar will be gone within a couple of weeks, given the fate of most of the others Trump has denied he has sidelined.

I had assumed she would be willing to have her seat filled by the first female president's nomination, but that wouldn't surprise me. Thomas has said he wants to set the record as the longest-serving Justice in the Court's history.

Supreme Court terms should be limited to...let's say 18 years, with two appointments per presidential term.

Absolutely. I wouldn't even mind if the 18-year term were renewable. Someone comes in under Reagan and then Bush Jr. chooses to renominate the coffin-dodger. Of course, it would almost never happen, which demonstrates the inanity of having someone sit on the bench for three-plus decades.
 
Trump, CDC appearance. He said experts were telling him to take sick Americans off a cruise ship but he doesn't want to do it because it WILL MAKE THE NUMBERS GO UP and he shouldn't because "wasn't our fault."

So you have a link? I can find no reports on the visit, only reports that it was back on after initially being canceled. Unsurprisingly, the WH's stated reason for canceling the visit did not agree with what Trump said. Let me see if I can muster up some surprise.....
