The poorest are the ones who starve first under socialism. No one is starving in America under capitalism.

I'm a right wing loon and I can only agree with half of with you're saying. It breaks my heart, but there are people starving in America still. I honestly wish it weren't so, but it undoubtedly is. :(

Hmm?

The poorest are the ones who starve first under virtually any type of government. Virtually, because of cases like actual communism. Actual communism doesn't even have money in the first place, so there's not really poor or rich in the first place. With that said, though, actual communism is still pretty much not yet implementable in the first place on a large scale, so it's a theoretical matter rather than practical. Either way, the first sentence claim is trivial and banal.

As for people not starving in the US under capitalism... WTF are you talking about? :eye-poppi

To be as fair as possible about this, capitalism has done well to increase the abundance and distribution of food. However, there are major flaws in it when it comes to those who are poor. To counter that, there are a number of "socialist" programs (like food stamps) that have been implemented in the US that massively reduce issues with lack of legally obtainable food in the US... and even then, there are what, 40 million US citizens who have food issues? Oh, and regarding those programs that are there to help prevent starvation, incidentally, the Trump Administration keeps taking action after action to sabotage and destroy them. And soup kitchens, however useful, have a very limited reach.

Yeah, but building a compassionate America with dignity for all, including the poorest needs to underpin all policy choices.
You say that like it's a bad thing.

That's all well and good. But when you talk about the 60s and imply you marched with King and got arrested yadda yadda, but the truth is you did protest against housing discrimination in college, got arrested and a $25/fine and supposedly went to the march on WA but never marched with King, then it becomes pandering.

Biden is doing the same, playing up his interaction with Mandela but the details don't fit at all, and an interaction with a soldier overseas and those details also don't match though apparently some of it was true, that is pandering.

Anyone who insists on disparaging "socialism" needs to say exactly what the scare word means to them. Many prosperous capitalist democracies around the world don't consider universal health insurance, affordable higher education, strong labor unions and a broad social safety net to be anything close to "socialism."

Anyone who thinks the richest capitalist nation on earth isn't systematically killing its poorest citizens via neglect should take a little tour of Go Fund Me. Trying searching "cancer", "medical debt" or "insulin".

Would Trump voters know what an atheist is?
At least the Fundamentalist portion would probably think of them as "so called atheists". Those types tend think that no one really disbelieves, they are just mad at God.
