Cont: House Impeachment Inquiry - part 3

I do think hat some of your proposed articles of impeachment do have problems that would prevent them from getting traction.

For example...

Thanks for that.

I never meant to imply that any of my additional Articles were slam dunks. But I don't think the cases for most of them were more problematic than the two offered.

At the very least, a handful of them would have negated the argument "It's a sham impeachment because they're not even alleging a crime".

But at this point, its all rather moot, I guess.

If anyone cares, I did not vote for McCain. Though I was a Republican, his assertion that we would stay involved in the Middle East for 100 years, if necessary, was a bridge too far.

I did vote for Romney, and think he would have made a pretty decent president.

Nice try, but I'm pretty sure I've heard that both McCain and Romney are both RINOs. If you voted for them, you couldn't possibly have been a Republican.

Good for you.

And I don't believe for one second that is true. I'm not saying Trump can't win this November just that it won't be because the Democrats impeached him.

I don't think the Democrats ever expected a conviction. They just wanted to get the information out there.

I never said it was the only reason and I was saying on here he would win again before the impeachment started.

The impeachment verdict has just turned from Trump likely to, to miracle will stop it.

I think you're whistling past the graveyard.

Since Trump now has almost complete control of the DOJ and with potential whistleblowers having to be concerned about having their identities made public, I'm wondering how we will know about any further dropped shoes.
I have faith that members of Trump's inner circle will be stabbing each other's backs as the purge rolls along.

Tips are helpful but you don't want to rely on them too much. ldeally you would be pointed to documents. BuzzFeed is apparently making progress in this area. There were whistleblowers before there were whistleblower protection laws. Lord knows this White House is pretty leaky as is.

I bet quite a few GOP senators would be relieved to see Trump gone - if they knew it couldn't be traced back to them. Also, there's a non-zero chance Trump will shoot himself in the foot.

The US is now officially a failed state.
The US is and probably always will be not a failed state.

Some people are just a bit over hysterical about one idiot bloke who will be gone in about 4-5 years.

It also means ignoring the hazards ahead.
You could hardly say the us is falling apart economically under the bloke.

Socially she is getting a bit messy, but then it is only things that were already there bubbling to the service.

You could hardly say he's responsible or that the average joe is better off. And more than 65 percent of Americans don't believe we are better offl. Or that Trump is even trying to unite the country.

If Trump was any other President running for reelection, I'd say they would win reelection. But Trump is unique. His unfavorables are staggering. He is beyond despised by a sizable block of people. If you think Trump motivates his base, keep in mind he is even better at motivating his opposition. That's not good.

And he is still trying to kill the ACA without a damn thing to replace it. He's also talked about reducing Medicare benefits. Please let me run against that.

All the same he will win.

Might be wrong and I will look like an idiot, but that is what I think.

Yes, you might be wrong. But that doesn't make you an idiot or in my opinion look like one.

Under Trump and the republicans, the U.S. deficit has greatly increased and is in the ~$1 trillion dollar range. And unlike the deficits under Obama (where the U.S. was in a recession), the Republican deficit is occurring at a time when the U.S. economy is supposed to be growing.

Regulations to prevent another 2008/2009 meltdown are being removed, possibly allowing another 'bubble'.

The U.S. is not building up its infrastructure; many bridges need replacement. And the current focus of the Trump administration is on old (and rapidly becoming obsolete) areas of the economy... fossil fuels, manufacturing, etc. instead of technology.

Things may LOOK good now, but its basically a coat of paint on a termite-infested house, and the owners seem to have no interest in getting rid of the infestation.

Even after Trump leaves office, the effects of his administration will continue to be felt for decades.
