Kobe Bryant Tweeted in 2017

A #POTUS whose name alone creates division and anger. Whose words inspire dissension and hatred can't possibly "Make America Great Again"

Sorry, Kobe, but God hates you. He tried tweeting something nice, but people want to use an unexpected death for some cheap political sloganeering. Sad. #Trump2020

There is an extradition case pending in which the Trump administration is seeking to extradite back to Iraq an Iraqi granted refugee status. This is for a terrorist murder for which the evidence of this man's involvement is blatantly false. His lawyers have documented beyond a reasonable doubt -- way beyond a reasonable doubt -- that he was not even in Iraq at the time the terrorist killing took place. The extradition treaty does not require a finding by the American court as to the validity of the charges. But in this case, his lawyers argue, U.S complicity in sending an almost certainly innocent man back to Iraq to face almost certain death would be a travesty, against all the values this country has always stood for.

I don't have time for links or a brief description, but lawyers say the problem is this: The Trump administration has argued that terrorists have illegally entered the United States by posing as refugees without being able to cite one example and this case will give them one. They want this extradition to go forward for political reasons. The man's life seems to mean nothing.

The underlying problem is, lawyers say (even some former government lawyers), the administration is headed by a man who has demonstrated he has absolutely no regard for justice or fairness, that he only cares about 'winning.' Appeals to a sense of justice fall on deaf ears.

That we have a president who has no sense of justice is very scary. :(

But isn't sending an almost certainly innocent brown man to death row exemplifying the values of the American justice system, surely this is what is needed to Make America Great Again.

Had to LOL upon seeing this. Hard to argue with Trump on this one.

Really? Paul Krugman was a professor of Economics at MIT and Princeton University and is a Nobel laureate in economics. What are your qualifications?

I have a much, much better record on the economy for starters.

But if you want to indulge in an appeal to authority, go ahead.

Prove it. Cite your qualifications. Otherwise it's like Trump. Just a lot of hot air.

You said you agreed with the moron Trump about Krugman.

Seems to me, you should put ip or shut up.

Prove it. Cite your qualifications.

Qualifications for what?

I thought we were talking about Paul Krugman, the idiot. Whether or not Paul Krugman is an idiot has little to do with my 'qualifications' and much to do with Krugman's hilarious record of public pronouncements.

Seems to me you are appealing to authority by bringing up your alleged qualifications. Which you then refuse to identify.

Again. Paul Krugman received his BA from Yale and his PHD from MIT. He was a professor at both MIT and Princeton and won the Nobel Prize in Economics. Those are some serious academic qualifications. And winning a Nobel prize in economics is also a substantial achievement.

And you're calling him an idiot? An anonymous poster on the Internet with the moniker "Sir Drinks a Lot".

You must see the humor in that.

Seems to me you've got not idea what an appeal to authority fallacy is all about.

And acbytesla was the one who brought up my 'qualifications' for some reason or another. You just made a stupid comment on my username and otherwise dodged the discussion.

Again. Paul Krugman was a professor at both MIT and Princeton and won the Nobel Prize in Economics. Even getting admittance to either of those schools is an accomplishment of very large proportions. Let alone teaching at them,. And winning a Nobel prize in economics is also a substantial achievement.

One of my favorites is this one:
Paul Krugman said:
By 2005 or so, it will become clear that the Internet's impact on the economy has been no greater than the fax machine's.

But that doesn't compare to the whoppers he spouted when Trump won the election. Horribly embarrassing to any economist to be so precisely wrong about the very subject they're supposed to be an expert about. A smarter man would have tempered his opinion with a little humility and self skepticism. But apparently, you fell for it.

And I'm just getting started, LOL.
