I believe you, but there is a difference between a forum and Yahoo Answers.
Yes, there is. I got hundreds of spammers, Yahoo gets millions per day.
On Yahoo Answers, it may be useful to sometimes post exactly identical questions in two different categories.
Which triggers a spam detector. Why? Identical content obviously copy pasted.
The utility of such behavior in a forum, however, is far less obvious.
I do not buy that excuse. Surely you must at least be dimly aware of the promotion of, say, drugs which will give you a bigger boner than a blue whale? No? Really that sheltered?
Bet on this, buy that, spend your way to a better life, pyramid schemes, and on and on and on. Right on the frontline against such spammage is detection of copy pasta duplicate posts.
Not only did you fall foul of the copypasta thing, you posted the EXACT same post in different locations within the same minute, another red flag.
It does not matter that your intent is not to spam. The simple fact is that you are unintentionally ticking all of the boxes as an obvious spam source. And the obvious sources are first to be toasted. The Algos make no distinction between you and some twonk selling viagra. Your behaviours are the same. That is sufficient to get you flagged.
My advice to you is DO NOT COPYPASTA QUESTIONS.
You will accumulate various flags and those do not go away.
I used to operate a three strikes and you are out policy. By that policy, I would have you on two strikes. One more would earn a ban.
I have no idea what Yahoo's criteria are, but I would suggest you are on shaky ground already. Copypasta in multiple locations is a tell for spammers. Maybe you really are innocent, but the algo cares not a whit, nor do the mods, nor does anyone. Cross the criteria, get banned. The machine does not care.
And why must I explain this to a supposed PhD? Children understand these boundaries. My children understand these boundaries. Their friends understand these boundaries. Their friends parents understand these boundaries. I know of nobody who does not. Except you.
Why is it you do not?
