Could Epstein have been a similar eminence grise to Savile, i.e., procuring young teens for others* as well as himself whilst enjoying immunity from prosecution?

*Two doctors at Stoke Manderville who were there the same time as Savile were charged with child sex offences. One topped himself (like Epstein) and the other was charged, found guilty and jailed.

The lack of basic knowledge of the devil as described in the Bible, which is the playbook for this pedestrian version of good and evil, is non-existent in the OP and supporting posts.

The Devil can't give you anything. Any gifts/talents a person has comes from their creator. To believe the Robert Johnson or anyone else sold their souls to become great players or performers is blasphemy.

The idea that Epstein got rich and became influential from worshiping the devil within the context of the Bible's rules is flat out ridiculous. From the non-religious viewpoint the fact is that one only needs to look at how economic laws and rules in the US changed in the 1990's which allowed Epstein to take advantage of speculative markets to mass his fortune in hedge funds and securities markets. A lot of people got rich doing the same thing.

Had I known how easy it was I would have gotten into that world too.

Epstein just decided to embrace his darkest impulses and then linked up with other like-minded people. From there it was blackmail city and wall-to-wall 16 year olds.

And that was Les Wexner of the ladies lingerie empire, Victoria's Secrets. Others have already addressed most of the points you raised in this....erm... diatribe. But I'd like to add a further observation and question: why are you so hell-bent on portraying Jimmy Savile as a "deeply untalented...nobody...oik"?

Savile was actually one of the best-known public figures in the UK throughout the 70s, 80s and 90s. He was an accomplished DJ and a skilled broadcaster who during the mid/late 1970s hosted one of the highest-audience TV programmes in the UK. And if one puts aside for one moment his horrific abuse of his position and fame at places like Stoke Mandeville, he (IIRC) raised the most money for charity as a single individual throughout the 80s and 90s.

Savile was many things - some of them disgusting, immoral and illegal - but a "deeply untalented nobody oik" he most certainly was not.

It is a known established sociological phenomenon that paedophiles/sexual predators will often put themselves into a position whereby they can gain maximum contact with the objects of their desire. What more perfect camouflage than becoming an avuncular priest, child care worker, social worker for young adults...?

The Catholic priests who abused young boys were/are hardly sincere Christians as the New Testament doesn't like that type of thing. ;)

His musical taste was a nothing burger. Tell me about his great taste in music that made him a 'talented DJ'?

He had a high audience because his show was on at peak time. Note it wasn't Old Grey Whistle Test.

Truth is, he was a gopher of children and young teens for a ring of powerful secretive paedophiles, so high up, Savile was never once charged even though EVERYBODY who worked with him knew of his er, tendencies, as it were. A couple came forward to say they witnessed him having sex with corpses in the mortuary.
