The Trump Presidency: Part 18

I think the attempted insult probably goes over the heads of a lot of people. Or worse: They know Amazon really is a successful business. And “sour grapes” is an ancient concept, easily understood.

So back to my original comment, it seems to me that Amazon very clearly has a case to bring claiming institutional bias in the contract award process. The president's comments on twitter demonstrate an attempt to influence the outcome.

It may depend on whether Trump succeeded. I know zilch about cloud storage. And didn’t Mattis insist that the award process would be by the book?

I think it says something about Trump's mentality, that he wants to be compared to a genocidal maniac in a campaign ad.

Trump’s children must undergo mandatory training to learn how to avoid defrauding charities

The New York Times reports that, as part of a settlement the New York State Attorney General’s Office, three of Trump’s children “were ordered to undergo mandatory training to ensure they do not engage in similar misconduct” at future charities.

and Trump paid out $2 million in compensation to eight different charities to make up for the money that the foundation misused over the span of several years.

In addition to paying $2 million, the president also had to admit that he misused foundation funds to fund his own presidential campaign, pay off his businesses’ legal expenses, and to buy a $10,000 portrait of himself that wound up being displayed at one of his Florida hotels.

And where did that attitude land him?

One of the few things Trump seems to be good at is getting people to do what he wants with out ever quite stating it dirrectly, like getting the airforce to stay at his hotel even if the food allowance didn't buy anything on the menu for the airmen, or make it known where he thumb was on the scales with out ever quite putting it there.

These would be major scandals in any other administration, it is tuesday now.

He thinks HE should be Person of the Year every year. After all, he's the greatest Prez EVER. A lot of people don't know that but people are saying.

He might actually win that in a popular pole right now. A good percentage of republicans think that and so he could win the plurality pretty easily.

I barely ever heard about her. How is she person of the year?

Well, at least it'll piss off Trump.

And how have things been in Outer Mongolia for the past few months?
Don't see how anybody who follows the news even on a casual level could not know who Greta Thunberg is.

a genocide doesn't need to be complete to be one.

Genocides typically target a specific group. Thanos was more of a nihilist, seeking the destruction of life for its own sake, regardless of who it was. In the comics, he was literally in love with the cosmic being that was the embodiment of Death, and his early plots were aimed at causing death on a galactic scale as a gift to her.
