House Impeachment Inquiry

Garrison is a delusional hack.
He does draw unintentionally funny cartoons though.
Highly-larious, and probably a good reason to support addiction treatment as part of Medicare for all.

Any idea why he draws those hideous things? Does he get paid for them, or is it an obsession that he has no willpower to resist? It would be an unpleasant life to have those things in your head all the time.

Garrison is maybe today's best cartoonist, technically, worldwide (and I know quite a few).
His views are sometimes far off, even very crude (see "Greta Thunberg" thread), but often close to the point, like in this case.
He always manages to rile up the right people, though, which is why I enjoy spreading his work so much :)

You also think Putin and Trump are good.

Opionions are like ********. Everyone has one at least. And usually they stink.

It's funny that the GOP is pretending quid pro quo isn't bribery when they could have gone in a different direction, the Constitution is referring to taking bribes isn't it?

As if he's been coached, do you mean? If so, I agree.

I wasn't thinking so much about being coached, I was thinking stalling, knowing the questioners only have 5 minutes. Typically these guys (both sides) filibuster to use up the questioner's time. Morrison was using silence and looking at his past written testimony to waste time.

His facial expression was a separate issue, he really did remind me of Cohen.

OMG...Idiot Nunes actually starts off his statement to Volker and Morrison that he has "bad news " for them; the TV ratings are way down" and not to take it "personally". He then says the people aren't buying the 'drug deal or whatever the Dems are cooking up".

He then follows that stupidity up with asking them if anyone at the WH had ever asked either to 'bribe or extort anyone or anything out of anyone".
LOL!

Twit. He really should stop embarrassing himself.
He looked like he expected a reaction and the room was silent. It's a rerun of what he said yesterday.

I found it funny in a sad way how they kept asking Volker and Morrison if they heard the words 'bribery, extortion, or quid pro quo' as if that proves a damn thing.

As Cohen said, Trump speaks in code. He doesn't come right out and say things directly, but you know what he wants. As is often attributed to Henry II:
Who will rid me of this turbulent/meddlesome priest?

Henry denied all accountability until forced to do penance.

Most of what he and the other GOP are saying and asking is a rerun. They repeat themselves constantly. Must be taking lessons from Trump; have nothing of substance to say? Just repeat yourself.

Uh-oh. I just saw the clip where Lt. Col Vindmann read his performance review. He held it up and (reading the back) the text on the front was legible. It looked like it included all his personal information. Bad thing for this to be broadcast to nutjobs with HDTVs.

So many holes in the GOP narrative.

Obama didn't provide aide to Ukraine. But wasn't that when the previous admittedly corrupt administration was in charge in Ukraine?

Burisma was corrupt. Apparently, but then it has been established that J Biden got rid of the prosecutor who was not investigating Burisma. Rather, that prosecutor was blocking that investigation, or an investigation into the oligarch that owned Burisma. (I could have some details wrong but not the gist.)

Obviously it wasn't up to the POTUS to personally coerce Zelenski to investigate corruption. But even if it had been, Trump's corruption concern alibi was were nowhere close to what he actually asked for. Trump mentioned Crowdstrike and the DNC server.*

*Vindman said Russia pushes that theory, BTW.

The attempted smearing of Lt.Col. Vindman by implying he might not by loyal to the US, questioning why he was wearing his uniform today and addressing him as Mr. instead of Lt. Col. was far more revealing of the GOP idiots than of Vindman.

They've got nothing and they know it.

Nothing is everything to a nihilist.

I haven't been able to stomach redstate since they forced their better writers out. Here is their take today.

This is probably the most amount of thought being put into the republican position. Any thoughts?

Saying that this is the most thought put into the republican position does not speak well for that position. I am morbidly curious as to what less thought could possibly be.

That is my thought on that piece. It is true that it would be nearly impossible to rebut. That is one of the benefits of nonsense.
