It is very presumptuous on the part of some of you, to criticize my English skills. With the exception of the standard English as a second language schools, taught back in the 80's and 90's in schools in Greece, 3 hours a week, by native speakers, I had no exposure to the language till when I visited the States for 6 months; first in 1993, then in 1995 for a year, and then emigrated permanently in 1998. Nobody among my family and relatives spoke any English, except for my father and my two uncles, who had emigrated to the States almost two years after I was born, and with whom I spoke only in Greek on occasion over the phone. My elementary, junior high and highschool education, was all done in the standard greek public education system; which included a 2 hour a week curiculum in the trades highschool, which I attended for a year. The curriculum in my junior high and highschool classes was 2 hours a week of French.[/B][/COLOR]
