Could he be more dishonest or hypocritical?

What a pig.

What the actual **** has Barr accomplished? Doesn't he have some attorney generaling to do? Doesn't Trump have enough in-house whining snowflakes already? His Fred Flintstone-looking ass needs to go, right along with his boss's ample rear end.

I wasn't meaning normal people, I was meaning in Congress.

Until Clinton there really wasn't this extreme partisanship that we see today...

Clinton's victory, and the American inclination for divided government, plus Conservative Inc., led to Republican control of the House in 1994. The fact both parties have a good shot at controlling Congress has probably been the most important factor when it comes to increased polarization. In other words, the core of the problem is institutional rather than cultural.

It used to be the permanent minority party could extract concessions from the majority when it came to shaping legislation, especially when the minority party controlled the executive branch. Now that both parties have a shot at control, there's less of an incentive to cooperate. If you frustrate the other guy's legislative agenda, then you can go back and tell voters, "see, they've failed. Vote US into power." There's also room for logrolling and compromise when interest groups and media can inform voters about your failing B-minus rating with the NRA.

The system was not designed to handle two political parties, much less parties that are somewhat ideologically coherent. It's a system that would need regular revision. Patch updates. The framers first tried the Articles of Confederation, but that union, "which shall be perpetual," did not work out so well according to elites we now idolize. They scrapped the AoCt, brazenly ignoring the unanimity requirement, as well as the alleged aim of the first Constitutional Convention itself ("sole and express purpose" of revising the Articles of Confederation ). The framers thought it was a good idea that the second-place finisher in presidential elections should be condemned to the Vice Presidency. Brilliant idea. Most of the framers probably believed that no one other than a person with the national profile of a George Washington could secure a majority of votes in the Electoral College, which would send most elections to the House. That was wrong as well. We've gone without many fixes because the Constitution has been deemed such a raging success. Never mind that little event known as the Civil War. A relatively bloodless affair. Just a dust-up.

What has he done? Plenty. For example, he's directed the DoJ to back up the legally nonsensical Republican case against the ACA. He unrecused himself from dealing with the Epstein stuff, likely to assuage Trump's concerns. There's the infamous hatchet job that he did on the Mueller report with that "summary" of his and his associated lies to both Congress and the public. He's gone out of his way to try to get the DoJ to interfere with lots and lots of court cases in his quest to protect Trump. He's actively working to undermine the Intelligence community. He advertised (his particular brand of) Christianity with government resources. That's enough to start, though far from comprehensive.

That he certainly deserved removed and also deserves jail doesn't change the fact that he has been active.

And the exit for health reasons begins ...

If Dr. Borenstein said “If elected, Mr. Trump, I can state unequivocally, will be the healthiest individual ever elected to the presidency.”

And now he is sick.

Then shouldn’t we expect his supporters to put these two things together and conclude that President Trump has been poisoned?

Trump Tweets

Visited a great family of a young man under major surgery at the amazing Walter Reed Medical Center. Those are truly some of the best doctors anywhere in the world. Also began phase one of my yearly physical. Everything very good (great!). Will complete next year.

Who doesn't spread their physical exam out over several months?

And have it completely unplanned on a Saturday evening? Was he fasting? The blood tests I get during my annual physical require me to be fasting for 12 hours prior. I'd bet he didn't go all day without eating anything.

Deserves jail for what?

I think he's abysmal and should be removed. I don't know that he's broken any laws. The terrible bending of the Justice Dept. to act as the president's attorney is worthy of removal but not a violation of law as far as I can tell.

But perhaps I'm overlooking either some act or some law.

Would he have done it for someone who lied about bone spurs in order to get out of serving?
