The Trump Presidency: Part 17

I saw another story that described how he responded to the public correction by one of the astronauts by rubbing the side of his head with his middle finger, making it look like he was flipping them off. I doubt even he would be sufficiently clueless for it to be intentional, so just a lack of self-awareness of his actions.
He also had trouble with the time delay and kept talking over the astronauts when they were trying to respond to his questions. EDIT: Ninja x 2

He'll probably direct NASA to get rid of the geosynchronous delay. ;)

Trump retweeted a clip from NASA TV of him speaking to the astronauts.

It has edited out the bit where he flips them the 'middle finger' disguised as rubbing his temple that was on the full clip.

I'll actually give him the benefit of the doubt here. I think he was just ribbing his head and just didn't think about it.

So some day, if a Democrat becomes President and the Republicans win the House, even by a tiny margin, they can impeach the President, without due process or fairness or any legal rights.
Of course, what Trump is forgetting is that the Republicans have already abused the impeachment process with their fishing expedition again Bill Clinton. Whether the Democrats acted against Trump or not, it would have no impact on whether the Republicans misused the impeachment process in the future against a Democratic president.

(Then there is also the little issue: Trump is guilty of serious crimes that make Clinton's pale in comparison.)

Watch it. That was no thoughtless rubbing of his head.

If that's the case then he's acting like a pre-teen, which sure matches his vocabulary.

Anyway I've seen the video now and I'm still not convinced it was intentional on his part. I don't know, it doesn't match his usual style.

I can say "give him the benefit of the doubt" in that I think he's too clueless to even realize that would be thing.

Then again, I'm not sure that "He's a blithering moron, too stupid to pull off anything like" is not quite a ringing benefit.

It isn't, but since we already know that about him, it's not a big stretch.

I bet he learned it from his teenaged son doing that to him a lot. Or possibly Melania. I mean, if you were them wouldn't you? I'd need surgery for repetitive stress injury to that finger.

His usual style? You mean being totally classless, crude and rude? That style?

I have a video clip (somewhere) of him doing that in another venue, but he was saying something about America at the time. I believe it's either subconcious or a totally unrelated habit. But I still wouldn't put it past him of doing it on purpose.

We're getting out of foreign wars and bringing our troops home, unless we aren't.

President Donald Trump on Monday offered a confusing description of his foreign policy priorities as commander in chief — insisting that he is working to bring home American soldiers, while warning the U.S. may soon enter into new military conflicts.

“I'm trying to get out of wars. We may have to get in wars, too. OK? We may have to get in wars,” Trump told reporters at the White House.

“We're better prepared than we've ever been,” he continued. “If Iran does something, they'll be hit like they've never been hit before. I mean, we have things that we're looking at.”

Foreign policy is like the Hokey-Pokey, right? You put your forces in, you pull your forces out, you put your forces in, then you shake them all about.
