I honestly no longer give a **** about this conversation. I thought it might be interesting, but I was wrong. I explored the idea bout dynasties that I wanted to explore. I'm taking into consideration your points about the crony network and its contribution to the success of the nepot or whatever.

Arguing with you about electoral college versus ballot tampering seems like it's not going to yield any interesting results, so I'm out. Whatever point you think you were making, you're welcome to it .
I agree. Wrong thread for it anyway.
I am a bit curious as to where you were going with the ballot tampering issue though. I didn't bring that up.
I thought it possible that you were confusing me with another member whom you had been discussing that with. That would have made your feeling of "hate" coming from me a bit more understandable since I didn't see my post as containing any vitriol.
Anyway, wrong thread.

Duuno about "they", but I said it some time ago, and the polls seem to indicate she'd be an excellent choice.

I reckon she'd be taller than Trump with her heels on, which would drive him nuts.

I stand by my analysis that she would slaughter the orange slug, which should be the number one reason she should run.
Maybe she understands the country is going to be fine, and that she owes it to herself to do pretty much anything else with her life besides try to become president - let alone succeed.

You know, for a people who have been entirely unaffected by President Trump, our antipodean cousins seemed to have developed a really outsized fear of him. There are blacks and gays living under Trump's tyranny who aren't as terrified of him as are the ozzies and the kiwis. And the Austrians.

And she's a man, according to some even here on this forum, though not lately. That's gotta help!

Dude. She's totally a man. Not that there's anything wrong with that.

More seriously: The best reason for her to win the presidency is that without it she's pretty much guaranteed to earn 75 cents on the speaking circuit, for every dollar earned by her husband.

But she’ll have to forego four (or eight) years on the speaking circuit if she becomes president. Besides, if you buy into the gender gap in income a female ex-President will earn 75% of a male ex-president anyway.

The moderators are ignoring 3/4 of the candidates except for token questions.

They’re in the ratings game. No need to waste time on people no one has heard of. It’s Biden vs Warren vs Sanders with a few walk-on sniping from Buttigieg and Harris and Yang Klobuchar.

Starting to descend into an escalating series of "rule of so..." bickering.

On the whole, as a party, we look entirely incoherent.

Everyone going after Warren in the debate. Biden was kind of incoherent.

Biden sidestepped the question, if it was OK then, why did Hunter quit those jobs now?

Trump is so stupid. He didn't need any help from Xi or Zelenski, just exposing Biden's son's convenient jobs was more than enough.

I don't find the top three to be all that promising. This only reinforced that POV.

I still can't stand Harris telling us about her childhood. I do like her using the female pronouns when referring to the POTUS. I'm tired of the old naming off individuals like 'John Doe from Ohio' that Warren went off on.

Warren can't let go of the education issues, Sanders continues to think he's going to start the revolution, Biden really looks like your standard false-promise politician. ...

I like Buttigeig, too bad he doesn't have enough experience. I like Steyer, it's a shame they aren't letting him speak. Booker and Klobuchar look good tonight.

Biden has done everything.

O'Rourke threw in one Spanish word?

Steyer wants to work with frenimies. :D

Yang is one odd duck, isn't he?

I agree with all of this, and am viewing it the same way. Earlier on, I was getting tired of it sounding like an anti-Trump rally.

The party as a whole has been trying to make the point that the tax costs of universal health care is lower than premiums, yet half of our candidates are happy to wring their hands in consternation over the tax costs of universal health care if it might make some of their opponents look bad.

Happy to prey upon ignorance rather than educate.

Biden: "...I'm the only one
Who'll walk across the fire for you
I'm the only one
Who'll drown in my desire for you"

After all this time Warren should have a better answer than, "Look :words: "

She could at least call them on trying to trap her with the question. It should be a simple answer but instead she looks like she's avoiding the issue.
