I read a Minneapolis newspaper report that did not mention those - but did say MAGA hats and U.S. flags were being burned - I'm fine with the MAGA hats, the flags not so much.
Really? Why? Burning is the patrioticly correct way to dispose of an American flag. You were unaware of this?

Sorry, but the old "they are all agent provacuteurs" routine does not play.
Just admit that your side has it's share of morons and distance yourself from them.

Maybe if you read past the first sentence you would have seen I listed both options.

No, but I bet a lot of Trump supporters are.

Besides which, IMO it sends the wrong message. It could have been a setup though.

She did. Read the post more carefully.
Thank you. :)

Moving on, Trump's press conference today, I guess it was about China tariffs, he said multiple times that "world peace" would be the result.

Sorry Trumpy, but I don't see that Nobel Peace Prize in your future any time soon.

Disposal of a flag by burning is not the same as burning the flag in order to express strongly held political differences.

As you well know.

An appropriately done burning ceremony to dispose of a worn flag is a sign of respect. Burning the flag in protest is arguably not a sign of respect. (Yes, I'm sure some folk would claim it is a sign of respect, but at the least one can see that many folk think it is not.)

Burning a flag as a protest is really dumb, guaranteed to turn off way more people then you impress. But it looks really edgy to your radical friends.

I'll bet most of us agree. At least I do.

Pissing off those you might want to convince is just stupid. Reminds me of the bike protests in Pittsburgh, where bicyclists deliberately take up the whole roadway to convince drivers that they matter.

But this is a digression.

Ambassador Yovanovitch ,after her damning testimony, is getting the full 2 minute hate treatment from the Trumpets on line. 'Traitor" is among the milder terms, plenty of misongist name calling, and lots of paranoid conspiracy theories.
SOme say trump should basically fire all professionals in the State Deparment, since they are all Deep State agents, and bring in his own followers to staff it.

They also show a monumental ignorance of foreign affairs, but that is to be expected;followers always imitate their leaders...

Trump just said that he does not know if Rudy is still his attorney.
Given what has happened when Donnie has said things like that about people in the past, it's not looking good for Rudy....

SMith also said the Fox Prime Time programming was more then he could stand.
You ain't alone, guy you ain't alone.

I saw a photo at MSN of one of the "Marx Was Right" fools.
Yes, they have a right to do it but it's a stupid thing to do, like burning the flag.
Instant turn off to many viewers.
Problem with the a lot of left wing demonstrators is they are too concerned with looking "cool" to their bros and don't get the purpose of a demonstration is too convince the general public to support you.

Meh, sometimes. Sometimes it's just to get out there as a group and do something together socially.

I say this as a refugee from Organized Skepticism, where the purpose of Skeptical demonstrations was very much debated. I'm pretty sure Boobquake was not designed to get the general public on Atheists' side. It was just Skeptics having fun as a group, making fun of the general public.

Problem is that is totally different then a demonstration where you are trying to make a political point.

I would not be surprised if Donnie attempts some Stalin level purges in the State Department after this.

Mostly already purged, I think:

“Today, we see the State Department attacked and hollowed out from within,” she said in prepared remarks obtained by The Post, warning that U.S. adversaries such as Russia stand to benefit “when bad actors in countries beyond Ukraine see how easy it is to use fiction and innuendo to manipulate our system.”

I don't think I will ever get over watching as Giuliani yelled, "Shut up," at a guest on a news show and then called them "an idiot." I once voted for Giuliani -- he did a good job restoring 'quality of life' to city streets during his first term -- but he is obviously in way over his head now. Although he's always been surly and something of a jerk, his appearance on -- was it the Laura Ingraham show? (I saw the clip in someone's tweet) -- was an all-new low.
