The Trump Presidency: Part 17

I don't think that Trump realizes that every time he confirms the veracity of the conversation summary and says that it was perfect, beautiful and nothing wrong with it, is just another nail in his coffin.

You know how you can be certain the moat comments claim is true? Earlier today Trump claimed he's not familiar with the word moat or what a moat is. Mr.Stable Genius thinks that will mean that he could not have possibly said it.

Trump Tweets

Congressman Adam Schiff should resign for the Crime of, after reading a transcript of my conversation with the President of Ukraine (it was perfect), fraudulently fabricating a statement of the President of the United States and reading it to Congress, as though mine! He is sick!

All the Do Nothing Democrats are focused on is Impeaching the President for having a very good conversation with the Ukrainian President. I knew that many people were listening, even have a transcript. They have been at this “stuff” from the day I got elected. Bad for Country!

#DONOTHINGDEMS
Not a Trump tweet. Long compound sentences with no spelling errors, correct (but convoluted) grammar. I'm guessing whoever is CoS this week but trying to sound like Donny, or taking dictation and tidying it up into passable English..

This was certainly covered, but Trumpy fails to note that the law was one requiring a candidates tax returns be shown before candidacy. That law was struck down.

So Trump's great victory was again him being allowed to continue being a lying, tax-dodging weasel.
That's probably the definition of a Trump victory.

More like a bad comic book villian. No real understanding of what's feasable in terms of law, engineering, ecology, etc.

I keep saying that this is like when Lex Luthor became president, only much more stupid and corrupt. Apparently DC picked up on this as well...

Time for jokes about Senator Leahy sending out Batman to gets the goods on Trump.....

So you’ve never met a trump supporter?
Yes I have. I know a number of them. I've never asked about shooting border crossers but these people don't seem like they would want that at all. Apprehend yes, shoot no. But I still haven't asked.

Anyway, here is the claim. I think it's what gets called an extraordinary claim...

We can’t forget that the majority of his supporters almost certainly support shooting invaders from the south.

Today was the annual refresher for my HAZWOPER certification (Hazardous Waste Operations and Emergency Response). The instructor was a certified industrial hygienist who also works as a consultant helping state and federal agencies develop safety regulations. She told us a story.

Several years ago she was part of a group that was brainstorming potential new regulations for wind farms. They completed the job, submitted their report, and that was the last they heard about it. She was recently contacted by someone in the current Administration, asking if she was available for an upcoming meeting about wind farm regulations. She wasn't, but they told her that all of the regulations they had proposed were going to be implemented within the next 18 months. When I heard this, my first assumption was that it was the latest stage in Trump's ongoing grudge against wind farms. She was told that the purpose of these regulations was specifically to make it as difficult as possible to construct new wind farms as part of an ongoing program to prop up the viability of coal.

I guess we can also expect some new regulations making it more difficult to produce natural gas.

Y'know, from my interactions with Trumpistas I would have to agree that they by and large would support that. Even down here, when I encounter the rogue Trumper it is rather shocking. We had one guy run out of town on a rail. He was here because it is cheap and he thought he get young pussy. When informed that his political (and moral) views were not shared by the locals, he began blathering about "beaners" and illegals and saying that he hopes their (our) families are shot on site at the border. Nevermind the fact he was here illegally. Anyway, it was gently explained to him that if he would like to wake up again, he need take leave of (my town) Guatemala. He was gone the next day. This seems to be a trend, if not a theme among Trumpistas.

Okay. Maybe “a majority” was reaching.

Still, when he tells the story about General Pershing executing prisoners of war, his crowds certainly respond energetically. As they did when someone shouted “Shoot ‘em” at a rally in the Florida panhandle*.

I’d love to see a poll on this.

*And Trump laughed and said “Only in the panhandle”.

That Pershing story, BTW, is total BS, and has been denounced as such by almost every historian asked about it.

Once again, surprised that anybody is surprised by Trump's shoot them in the legs comments. Anybody surprised that Trump would say this has not been paying attention...….

Some people are just plain nuts though. Not a surprise that Trump has quite a few followers that happen to be paranoid schizophrenics.

Hard to say how many of those vs. not-crazy people. The crazy ones can be pretty loud. But just look at how many people say they are behind him 100 percent, indicating that it's fine with them that he floats such ideas. I don't know if they are totally sincere about that though.

He should know that a stomach wound works too. I watch a lot of TV too, and stomach wounds are just like a pain in the stomach but with a little blood that stops when you put a bandage on it. They are easier to deal with than a leg wound as you can still walk around.

FAKE NEWS! Only the Commie Socialist Democrat FAKE NEWS would say this:
A source who was in the room at the time confirmed the conversation about shooting migrants in the legs to Fox News late Tuesday.
Source.

My comment was in response to one poster (who, in fairness does not like Trump at all) who was shocked that the POTUS would say something like that.
My own response was "Where have you been the past 3 years?. It's perfectly in line with a lot of things he has said."
