@sundarpichai of Google was in the Oval Office working very hard to explain how much he liked me, what a great job the Administration is doing, that Google was not involved with China’s military, that they didn’t help Crooked Hillary over me in the 2016 Election, and that they...

....are NOT planning to illegally subvert the 2020 Election despite all that has been said to the contrary. It all sounded good until I watched Kevin Cernekee, a Google engineer, say terrible things about what they did in 2016 and that they want to “Make sure that Trump losses...

....in 2020.” Lou Dobbs stated that this is a fraud on the American public. @peterschweizer stated with certainty that they suppressed negative stories on Hillary Clinton, and boosted negative stories on Donald Ttump. All very illegal. We are watching Google very closely!

Massive amounts of money from China and other parts of the world is pouring into the United States for reasons of safety, investment, and interest rates! We are in a very strong position. Companies are also coming to the U.S. in big numbers. A beautiful thing to watch!

As we commemorate #DDay75, let us give thanks for the valiant Allied soldiers who helped turn the tide of the Second World War on that fateful day.

??????

Does Donnie think "August 6" is "June 6"? Is this just an IOU, wherein he thought it would be nice to retweet something of Moscow Mitch and the last item he could find was from two months ago?

I wonder why there would be an inflow of money for lower interest rates.

Typically a rise in interest rates for a stable economy will be accompanied by a increase in the value of their currency as money comes in to take advantage of the higher interest rates.

OTOH a fall in interest rates is typically accompanied by a drop in the value of the currency as money goes elsewhere to seek a return.

****. What's he selling off this time? National parks? The Statue of Liberty?

I wonder if he will actually have a public face-to-face with the Mayor, O'Rourke, or other officials of El Paso when he makes his visit, or if his handlers will isolate him just so he can make a speech without having to worry about feedback.

My dream scenario is him addressing a crowd, which drowns him out with a chant of "Do something!" Even a fiery exchange with O'Rourke would be great. Make that ****** actually think a little bit.

Funny how the stock market seems to disagree. Yesterday was pretty bad. Did Trump forget that his one and only duty as president is to keep rich people rich? Because he's just cost them a lot of money. I wonder how forgiving the superwealthy are to politicians who make them lose lots of money?

I doubt it. Instead he would either go away with the impression that the crowd was cheering him to the rafters at every turn (if he couldn't understand what they were saying) or that they were very rudely attacking the president and therefore El Paso got exactly what it deserved (if he could).

In any case it would all be about him, either "They love me" or "They're attacking poor little me - after everything I've done for them"

It depends. Economic downturns are often very good times for the very wealthy. Sure their own wealth reduces significantly but often they are highly diversified so the hit is less for them than it is for people in general. OTOH it's often an opportunity to pick up some prime assets nice and cheaply.

IOW they don't mind boom or bust too much, the former allows them to increase their wealth in absolute terms, the latter in relative terms. What they cannot stand are progressive policies which seek to redistribute wealth and address income, wealth, health and opportunity inequalities. That's not going to happen with the GOP (and to be honest a fair chunk of the Donks) at the helm.

Considering we should be in the middle of a recession that Trump keeps staving off with increasingly drastic and short-sighted moves, I imagine they're fine with it.

Also this. Trump hasn't just postponed the inevitable, he's made it predictable: November 9, 2020. When the Democrat takes the office and their Fed pick gets a good look at the books, they're going to have a nervous breakdown, and RIP Good Times. Everyone knows this and they'll try to cash out beforehand. So expect the market to crash after election day, if it hasn't by then.

As they have learned in the last two years, our great American Farmers know that China will not be able to hurt them in that their President has stood with them and done what no other president would do - And I’ll do it again next year if necessary!

China confirms it is suspending agricultural product purchases in response to Trump's new tariffs

The word around our office, we do work with a lot of farmers, is not good. This one is going to hurt.

This is why he's pre-committing to bailing them out. If they planted based on his "Gosh things are going swell in the trade talks" b.s. from Japan, then 16 billion ain't gonna do it this time.

I can't believe that he considers this a good idea. He's basically destroying agricultural states. There are real voices of concern here.

Tommy Grisafi, an ag risk management adviser at Advance Trading, Inc., Mayville, N.D., said his clients are "scared, concerned."

"As markets tumble, the government gives you this money. The question going to be asked is, 'Is it safe to assume every time times get tough they're going to give us a payment?' It's enabled people to stop marketing grains," he says, adding later that some farmers will make money through increased yields and advanced marketing.

It basically comes down to the US taxpayers buying up a **** ton of crops we don't need. At some point the taxpayers aren't going to put up with repeatedly bailing out farmers.

If the government buys up any unwanted crops at top dollar then the farmers will likely be as happy as clams.

The GOP aren't going to make a fuss about it,ever. Compared to the money squandered on big ticket defence projects it's a pittance and in any case it shores up the base.

Anyone who gives a **** is already opposed to President Trump. His supporters will view this as his commitment to Keeping America Great
