There, you see? The problem is the Internet. Or games. Or women not having sex when a guy wants that. Or immigrants.
It has nothing to do with freely available weapons, especially weapons no other nation would even consider allowing in the general population.
It is also pure coincidence that the other western nations that have internet, games, women deciding for themselves who to sleep with and immigrants do NOT have near weekly mass shootings, nor anywhere near the gun violence.

Yes, and hand grenades can also be used to dig pits. Personally if it's okay for just about anyone to purchase semi-automatic rifles for "self-defense" (or just because guns are so much fun) then you might as well allow people to buy and use fragmentary hand grenades for landscaping (or just because it's so fun!).
I mean what's the difference if they are shot dead or killed by explosively propelled metal fragments?

...and many of those countries have excessive suicide rates that far off set America's mass murder rate. Or excess deaths by excess alcohol consumption?
And, if there was a mass murder in any totalitarian country, we wouldn't hear about it would we? "Our happy comrades wouldn't do that"?

"Hand Grenades" are not now and have never been consumer items in the U.S.
Primary (blasting caps) and secondary high explosives by themselves are available to consumers, under strict regulations, but no military explosive devices are lawful for civilian possession outside of individuals licensed to manufacture destructive devices.

Not sure that is strictly correct, when did they get outlawed? They certainly existed though had fallen out of favor in land battles at the founding of the US, and I could certainly see selling them to ships to fight pirate attacks. Modern post WWI grenades sure but never?

We cannot let those killed in El Paso, Texas, and Dayton, Ohio, die in vain. Likewise for those so seriously wounded. We can never forget them, and those many who came before them. Republicans and Democrats must come together and get strong background checks, perhaps marrying....
....this legislation with desperately needed immigration reform. We must have something good, if not GREAT, come out of these two tragic events!
The Media has a big responsibility to life and safety in our Country. Fake News has contributed greatly to the anger and rage that has built up over many years. News coverage has got to start being fair, balanced and unbiased, or these terrible problems will only get worse!
The First Lady and I join all Americans in praying and grieving for the victims, their families, and the survivors. We will stand by their side FOREVER!

You can't prove that those murder victims didn't intend to commit suicide at some point. Obviously this was just a problem with timing, not guns; so they don't count as victims when compared to all those other places where people manage to commit suicide before they get murdered.

Of the ones higher than the US it is not really that many, lots of countries that we like to use as models like Canada, Germany and the UK are lower. And since when do suicides matter they always get argued out of firearm death numbers anyway.
