Some of these claimants also discount how sophisticated some of these ancient civilizations were. Take the Mayan civilization, for instance. In spite of the fact that the Spanish Conquistadors destroyed nearly all of their literature (I think they left something like three or four books), we have discovered that the Mayans were relatively very advanced sciencifically and technologically. This is why some people find it mysterious that they could have built structures like pyramids. When the logical reasons are no longer there, these fundies simply make them up.

You know, and this is just me, personally, if I'm going to be posting anything that I believe has any importance at all, at the very least I'll look up any words I'm unsure on in the dictionary, to make sure I'm using them correctly.

This one was clearly my favorite. I couldn't help but laugh at the irritatingly vague and childish idea about nuclear cylinders that simply "travel everywhere." Sylvia is certainly enlightening.
