Cont: The Valley of the Wood Apes, part 2

Quelle surprise, a NAWACer bigfoot entrepreneur. Or a wannabe at least.

Does anyone actually believe these mopes anymore?

The question as I see it: It's not whether or not we believe what they say, it's whether they believe what they say or not.

I still can't help but giggle a little every time I see the terms "Wood Ape" and "Valley of The Wood Apes". WTF? How long have they been there, 10 years? Their outpost is smack dab in the middle of this notorious Valley of The Wood Apes and yet we've never seen one picture of these beasts or the valley. As far as I know THERE DOES NOT EXIST EVEN ONE PICTURE OF A WOOD APE. Are you ******* kidding me? Not one? That's not just colossally contrary, that's cosmically contrary to what they've been claiming all these years. How is it possible that in 10 years they haven't ACCIDENTALLY got a picture of Bigfoot? How is it ONLY THEY (apparently) have been granted permission to "see" these wood creatures? Do they even have cameras? Do they all regularly meet at the WASh™ (Wood Ape Shack) for some D-n-A (discussion and answers) and then while basking in the afterglow afterwards create this month's excuse as to why they still don't have any actual Wood Ape evidence? And is that a legitimate write-off?

From their Mar '11 page:

"Somebody accidentally left one of our many cases of KY-Jelly™ out one night and the Wood Apes got a hold of it. Which they then proceeded to smear all over our multi-stage bi-resonant 12 phase tractor beam up on the hill and it broke and made this really loud explosion sound. That sound scared all the local Wood Apes off. Yep, that's what happened. We watched as hundreds of them left the area immediately. Whole Wood Ape families and longtime Wood Ape associates, even their lowly trace removers, POOF, all gone. It's a real shame. We don't know when they'll be back."

Thanks guys for all you do in the name of science. :eye-poppi

I wonder if these clucks made it into this book:https://www.amazon.com/Scientifical-Americans-Culture-Paranormal-Researchers/dp/1476672474

I mean, they are the poster children for psuedoscientific bigfootery, ain't they?

 I think I've laughed at every Bigfoot picture you've ever drawn.

Totally. The funniest **** of all is they're ALL members here at the ISF and yet don't want to discuss anything with us. Based on what they SAY, they're seeking the same answer we are, the truth. Brown, Flowers, Hill, Melissa, and probably Meldrum too. They all claim to be looking for it yet never seem able to discuss the truth when it's not the right truth. They want the "truth" alright, as long as it includes Bigfoot.

This Sharon Hill person, as an example, has shown herself to be a complete and utter phony "skeptic" since her early days here, and I'm confident her book reassures us of that fact. She's no more skeptical than I'm a polar bear. She's either in love with one or more of the NAWACs ("oh those hunky call center studs on weekend leave, let me at 'em") or she has serious psychological/honesty issues that smarter people need to steer clear of. She has yet to present even a single objective assessment/opinion of anything she's been "studying" (including her book I'm sure) while at the same time dishonestly reassuring everyone how she's a "good skeptic", capable of discerning truth from fantasy better than you or I because, umm, she doesn't have a dog in the fight. The hell she doesn't, she has a huge one and its name is The NAWAC. Curiously, the only people with no dog in the fight is US actual skeptics here.

So what say you Brian Brown Jim Flowers Melissa Sharon Hill?

<crickets>

One of my favorite things was when they posted the video of the guy (Mark, of Bravo Team) re-enacting what happened when the dark shadowy thing was shaking the bushes, while the NAWAC guy was sitting in a lawn chair in a dry riverbed. He tried to stand up to shoot at the shadowy lump, and his foot got tangled, he was tripping, and he still fired his rifle at the shadow.

Here it is
https://youtu.be/0Cstl-8xHAE?t=56m37s

Notice how when he is describing the sighting, they send someone up to reenact it, instead of looking for the hundreds of hairs that would have been shed by such a creature storming through the brush, they have a NAWAC member storming through trying to look like the beast for the camera.

 It's so literally insane.

So here's the rumored monologue NAWAC member WeeWee "Sagebrush" Herman was overheard telling them all at the bi-monthly meeting of NAWAC's Alpha Beta Rio Bravo Team #69 meeting at the Double Shake Shack™ in downtown Draper:

"Folks, folks, calm down, I have some wonderful news. If we, the mighty NAWAC, can tell just one hundred more Wood Ape stories to friends and neighbors and also post just 17 more videos on YouTube™ of nothing but us talking, we can legitimately petition the federal government to get Wood Apes officially recognized as a species of bipedal primate. <raucous applause> And then we'll finally be able to shut up all these meanie head skeptics who hold that sacred "why don't you get a picture neener neener" over our heads all the time. Pictures? Who has time for pictures, sheesh! They know so little of our humanitarian efforts to build better lives for everyone. We're literally on a mission from gawd. And once Woody A. is finally recognized, we won't ever need any pictures again and the federal government will be there to back us up on that. We can even sue if the picture question is brought up. Then those stupid meanie head skeptics can go pound sand."

This is a good example of using logic and reason to evaluate whether someone believes what they are saying.

By his own testimony, a lifelong 'footer. The last 20 years professionally, lol.

Is it more reasonable to say he is acting, or to say that he is both stupid and deluded to this amazing degree?

I think you brokered the term Legend Tripping here, that's fine for the null hypothesis vs the alternative that he is an imbecile of the first rank too.

Please note NONE of the NAWAC's articles have any kind of date on them. Now in some places that could just be an oversight, but considering this group avidly promotes myth as reality, it's obviously a deliberate act for unknown-but-can-only-be-deceptive reasons. Why WOULDN'T you put a date on them? A date is an integral part of what makes something "official".

Patty. Patty was his date. Happy now? ;)

Didn’t see this posted already. Some new (to me at least) info on the echo incident “hit it in the arm, probably”.

Lots of slo-mo of Colyer in gratuitous camo. Plenty of Brian Brown.

That's beautiful.

They record rocks hitting the roof. The only explanation must be Wood Apes.

Also: Protip- It doesn't matter which kind of forest is in the area, you are looking for Bigfoot.

Continuation of a thread begun by Jerrywayne on March 4, 2015. We had already been discussion for sometime before that elsewhere.

So uh, now that we're in July 2019, any bigfoots yet?
