I would love to hear Trump attempt to actually define Socialism. He would probably make this guy seem eloquent and well educated by comparison.

 
Socialism is a nebulous bogeyman that politicians warn the American people about to ensure they continue to vote against their own interests and instead in favour of corporate lobbyists and their rigged economy. When you want to step it up to the max you call people communists as Lindsay Graham did today on Fox about AOC and others.

Nice to see that Graham has gone all in on Dolt 45's white nationalism.

Note that "communist" is something of a substitute slur - it's been used against various prominent black people regardless of their actual political and economic views, in place of "coon", "moon cricket", or the N-word. And Graham, from South Carolina, absolutely knows this. And while I would normally point out other possible interpretations, I must note again that he is mimicking Dolt 45's loud insistence that only white people can truly be American, and that none of the four women of color that they are attacking are actual communists. This is by far the simplest explanation.

The transformation of Graham from characterising Trump as a "race-baiting xenophobic bigot" to defending the president behaving exactly like that has been astonishing.

It appears as if he doesn't realize that one might disapprove of the antics of the Squad while still being appalled at racism hurled their way. His simplistic view of the world is not hard to grasp. If I don't like something about you, then what do I care what happens to you?

Of course, the question is what proportion of the voters have the same addleheaded view?

Agree entirely, but the point is, I haven't seen any other leaders not so far up America's arse that they're prepared to openly criticise him. You sure as hell won't see Aussie's toad saying a word, and the pretty-boy-lame-duck north of the border hasn't uttered a sound.

This is the President of USA, Leader of the Free World.

Led by a three-year-old in a fat old man's body. Someone needs to have the balls to say it publicly.

(It's also about the only useful thing she can do)
 
I fear that Trump has managed to turn this into a win for himself: the more he can make 2020 an "us vs. them", the better his chances to mobilize Republicans, even if "us" in this case means racist misogynists.

Trump genuinely believes that his own father was an immigrant and is unaware that he himself is the President of the Virgin Islands. I think 25% is a pretty good score for him considering his limitations.

I think he may mobilize the die-hard racists and get noisier rallies, but those die-hard racists are a minority. I think pandering to Miller's team and the alt-right blogosphere is going to cost him the election. I've stated it before, but we're only 2.5 years into his administration and moderates and even non-bigoted conservatives are war weary and shell shocked from having to defend or excuse this miscreant. The 'burbs will vote overwhelmingly Democratic in 2020. If the cost of a minor spike in the economy is waking up to this **** every morning, it just ain't worth it.

I can only imagine what current world leaders will say about Trump once he is out of office. When they no longer have to deal with him and they can say what they think without repercussions, I have a feeling the filters will come off. Should be interesting!

I'm not just a "glass half-empty" guy, I'm a "the glass has a leaky bottom" kinda guy.
I predict that people who voted for Trump in 2016 will vote for him again in 2020 - simply because they don't like to admit that they were wrong about him.

Rather be a racist than a dupe.

Dems won't get the Senate, and they won't get the White House without some level of 2000 Court Battle over "voter fraud".
That's my prediction.
