I'll never understand why Republicans are so against paying their own way. They want increased spending on all the most expensive government programs (Defense, Social Security and Medicaid) yet think they should have it for free. It's always someone else who is supposed to pay for everything for them and they get their underwear in a bunch at the mere suggestion they should have to pay to get the things they want.
