Yeah, still trying to get over the Revolutionary War airports thing. The most ridiculously ignorant world leader ever? Yeah, sure there must have been some syphilitic sots with lead poisoning but wow.
And wasn't he supposed to be reading this speech?

Me, too. What a moron.
Reminds me of Bluto Blutarski's speech to rally the boys in "Animal House."

Trump will never admit it, even to himself, but a couple of parked tanks and that single flyover was pitiful.

But there was a crowd. Think of the crowd.

You mean those journalists and networks (CNN, MSNBC) who portrayed the upcoming 4th of July celebration event as a "militaristic show of force" lied to the American people yet again?

You don't say......:jaw-dropp

Trump explains his error.

“Actually, in the middle of that sentence, it went out. And that's not a good feeling. I guess the rain knocked out the teleprompter, so it's not that, but I knew the speech very well, so I was able to do it without a teleprompter. But the teleprompter did go out. And it was actually hard to look at anyway because there was rain all over it,"

WTF is wrong with the MSN? There are all reporting President Trump’s speech as being a reference to the American Revolutionary War. The Star Spangled Banner was written in 1814 during the War of 1812.

LOL!

For reference, I have no issues with a Blue Angels show, over an appropriate area. Not sure the Lincoln Memorial is that place, though. And the tanks were just silly.

Remember, a big criticism of Obama, from the right, was that he could only speak with a teleprompter.

Foreign leaders 'loved' Invanka says trump

"I thought Ivanka was amazing at the G20," the president said of his eldest daughter's interactions at last week's summit in Osaka, Japan. "And I'll tell you, the foreign leaders loved her. And they just think she's great."

The president added that his daughter, whom he appointed a senior White House adviser, is "very smart and she's done a great job." He said, "she's sacrificed a lot" and that she and her husband, fellow senior White House adviser Jared Kushner, "work very hard and they sacrificed a lot to be doing this, but they want to do it."

Donald Trump boasted that "Ivanka has worked on almost 10 million jobs, training and going to companies and getting them to hire people," before declaring again, "the people, the foreign leaders, really like her a lot."

Apathy or not, the Republicans cannot give up on Trump. Not yet. They are heading to their own re-election campaigns in 2020. They need the Trump supporters for their own survival, whether Trump wins or not.

So there's little chance of conviction in the Senate until after the election, and only then if a bunch of Senate seats flip to reduce the number of Repub. Senators that would have to vote for conviction. (Although that would mean Senate seats flip while Trump wins, which is a little (or a lot) contradictory.

Is that Pelosi's calculation of the best odds of fixing the mess? It also brings up the issue of whether any congress person would ever vote for what they intellectually think is right for the country versus what their constituents want. Is Pelosi is merely reading the Dems' constituency as much as the Repubs are? And, is that what the writers of the constitution intended, especially since they wrote it so the congress would be elected?

I don't think that's MSN's fault. That part of the speech was a mish-mash with clear references to the Revolutionary War, 1812, and the Civil War all together, with no clear segues in between:

In June of 1775, the Continental Congress created a unified army out of the revolutionary forces encamped around Boston and New York, and named after the great George Washington, Commander-in-Chief. The Continental Army suffered the bitter winter of Valley Forge, found glory across the waters of the Delaware, and seized victory from Cornwallis of Yorktown. Our Army manned the [Inaudible] -- it manned the ramparts. It took over the airports. It did everything it had to do. And at Fort McHenry, under the rockets' red glare, it had nothing but victory. And when dawn came, their Star Spangled Banner waved defiant. At Shiloh, Antietam, and Gettysburg, our soldiers gave the last full measure of devotion for the true unity of our nation and the freedom of all Americans.

And then he refers to World War One, but at least he's more clear with that transition.

And let's be fair here - that is the greatest laugh unintentionally given by a world leader, ever. It puts "hamberders" completely in the shade.

Comedy gold.

"Blame the teleprompter...."

Yes, because the clown doesn't even know what he's reading, or that there were no airports in 1775. Didn't they have the Hindenburg at Gettysburg?

Remember, a big criticism of Obama, from the right, was that he could only speak with a teleprompter was a Democrat.

Also that he played way too much golf was a Democrat.

It's all code for the same thing, and once you understand that there's no contradiction. Conservatives know this of course. Only stupid liberals think anyone actually cares about how much golf the president plays or whether he needs to use a teleprompter.

I'm surprised he didn't claim he said 'seaport' or 'port' and told everyone they misheard what he said.
