The Trump Presidency 14

I absolutely see him refusing to leave.

He's facing an obvious problem, though. He has no actual input in the election and swearing in of a new president, and once that happens, he has no further legal authority to stay in the White House. End result: he gets dragged out looking like a fool. I's say "kicking and screaming", but he's more the type that would just go limp and whine.

I'd be far more concerned with him using his goons to interfere before the election, eg. ordering Barr to scrape up fake charges against the dem nominee and the like, than anything else.

He'll be claiming election fraud pretty soon; and will continue to do so regardless of whether he wins or loses.. And I can see him not showing up for the inauguration if he loses.

Mario Draghi just announced more stimulus could come, which immediately dropped the Euro against the Dollar, making it unfairly easier for them to compete against the USA. They have been getting away with this for years, along with China and others.

European Markets rose on comments (unfair to U.S.) made today by Mario D!

German DAX way up due to stimulus remarks from Mario Draghi. Very unfair to the United States!

“ECB officials see Rate Cut as primary tool for any new stimulus.”

The Fake News doesn’t report it, but Republican enthusiasm is at an all time high. Look what is going on in Orlando, Florida, right now! People have never seen anything like it (unless you play a guitar). Going to be wild - See you later!

Had a very good telephone conversation with President Xi of China. We will be having an extended meeting next week at the G-20 in Japan. Our respective teams will begin talks prior to our meeting.

I was just told of a novel drinking game.
When TV news stations put up live coverage of the folks waiting in line in Orlando, you drink every time you see a black person.

I have seen a few vids this AM of the crowds waiting for the rally. They do appear to be spectacularly white. Also largely in their 40's and older. (I would not look out of place there myself ) I imagine a similar demographic would be found at a KKK rally.

I'm wondering, with his early Tweetstorm this morning, other world issues, his lack of sleep, and the prepping for his jerkoff-fest tonight, will he finally blurt something he can't back out of? Something that will actually make his base go "Uh... what??"

Oh, I hope so.

Not showing up for the inauguration is a petty issue. What you really have to worry about is him refusing to cooperate with his successor during the period between the election and the inauguration.

I don't see a succession crisis occurring. All they'd have to do is deactivate his Twitter account and he'd lose interest in the position immediately.

Didn't he refuse to cooperate with his predecessor? Given how poorly run Trump's administration is, would refusal to cooperate with a successor even matter?

Acting Secretary of Defense Patrick Shanahan, who has done a wonderful job, has decided not to go forward with his confirmation process so that he can devote more time to his family....

....I thank Pat for his outstanding service and will be naming Secretary of the Army, Mark Esper, to be the new Acting Secretary of Defense. I know Mark, and have no doubt he will do a fantastic job!

Cooperate with what?

Trump gutted the place so the next POTUS might as well start with a blank slate.
