It depends on who the authority figure is. Questioning and criticizing President Bush II was disloyal, disrespectful, and tantamount to treason. Once President Obama was in office, questioning and criticizing him was the patriotic duty of all true Americans. Now we're back to the first mode again with Trump.

There was an episode of "Cheers" in which Frasier helped Woody campaign for Boston city council, just to prove that people would vote for anyone who was well presented, no matter how unqualified they actually were. When Woody started gaining in the polls, Frasier started waking up screaming from nightmares in which Woody became President and started WW III. When Woody eventually won, he tried to thank Frasier.

Or like Trump's... except of course Trump probably isn't rich, and saying his views are 'half thought out' is probably giving him more credit than he deserves.

But dismissing him as being "like Starbucks rich dude" is minimizing the extreme doucheiness of the individual that is Burnett. His follies go far beyond just "half thought out views"... he has actively engaged in rather dangerous behavior... possibly taking bribes for covering up Trump's racism. That's not a "half thought out view"... that's fraud.

So, slowing job growth, a stock market which is treading water, a huge increase in the deficit, possible cuts to the fed rate (often done when the economy needs stimulating)

Realistically, I would bet that many of those laws are not fully enforced.
