yeah, but most D candidates full know that they don't have a chance ... in 2020.

Republicans have made it a profession to make a hopeless run for an office and collect campaign money and name recognition in the process.

Simply having participated in Primary Debates and not soiled your pants on live TV can help you raise money for whatever you want to do next.
 
Joe Biden just can't help himself:

After a 10-year-old girl asked Biden a question about the divided state of the country, he responded with a long answer touching on immigration. He then added, “I’ll bet you’re as bright as you are good-looking.” The young girl’s mother then told Biden that her favorite subject was journalism, so he brought her to the back of the room to meet members of the press in attendance and then put hands on her shoulders. So you are dismissing the fact some women told him he made them uncomfortable? He followed it with a video message that he "gets it".

I understand your sentiment but the action shows Biden did not keep his promise to stop. And his words telling the girl she's good-looking really make him look like someone's creepy grandpa.

You would think this shouldn't matter when compared to the pussy-grabber-in-chief. But it will.

We have a lot of very good candidates. Biden isn't one of them, IMO.

This has already been litigated. Biden promised to stop invading women's space. It doesn't have to be 'dirty' to be creepy.

I just don't see Biden putting his hands on the shoulders of a little girl in full view of everyone and her mother as being "inappropriate" or "creepy" or "invading her space". Much ado about nothing. That's my view and I'm not apologizing for it.

I get that. And lots of people agree. But Biden was told by some women they didn't want to be touched like that. Like I said, this was already litigated.He promised to stop.
But he's not stopping. Maybe he even asked permission, I think he did that the other day, loudly in front of the cameras. That's not good enough given some women, and especially a 10 yr old are not going to feel like they can say no.

Trumpers don't care. Democrats do.

Because it is innapropriate and sexist. I would like to see him try that with me (mid 30s white male).

I think you are missing the point. There is inappropriate touching that is sexist. It doesn't have to be sexual.

I find comments like telling a 10 yr old girl she's pretty is incredibly sexist. Does Biden tell boys how handsome they are? Does he put his hands on shoulders of men or boys?

He's old and doesn't realize how out of date such behavior is. Women want to move forward and Biden represents a step backward.

Why did he not understand that? He paid lip-service but that's apparently all it was. That makes it worse.

Even if it were totally innocent the fact is Biden has been made aware that it looks bad, and he chose to do it anyway. Which means he either doesn't care about how he looks, he forgot, or he's such a perv he can't control himself. None of those three possibilities is desirable in a would-be president. We have plenty of other candidates who aren't on the range between clueless and pervert.

When was the last time that a former president made an endorsement before it was clear that the person he was endorsing was going to win his party's nomination?
 
I had read that it was Obama who advised Biden to step out in favor of Clinton last time. Doesn't seem like Obama's a huge supporter of Ol' Poopin' Joe.

Absurd comment.

As I've said to other defenders of Biden's behaviour - you go and try that exact same thing in a shopping mall near you.

I'd going to take a guess and say if you go up to a 10-year-girl you don't know, and have no relationship to, and put your hands on her shoulders, two things will happen:

1 Her dad will beat the crap out of you.
2 You will wake up in handcuffs.

But keep defending the bloke, in spite of his own statements that he's learned his lesson.
