The Trump Presidency 14

At this point, I have little respect for rural Americans (the majority of which voted for Stubby McBonespurs.) So, I always like hearing about this sort of thing:

https://www.nbcnews.com/news/us-new...telecom-giant-huawei-could-cut-rural-n1010311
Trump's ban on Chinese telecom giant Huawei could cut off rural Americans' cell service... These small telecom companies now face billions of dollars in costs or the end of their businesses entirely after the Trump administration effectively banned the Chinese company last week over spying accusations. It is a prospect that could leave vast swaths of rural America with no cell service.

In order to address the issue:
...a bipartisan group of senators proposed legislation that would create a pool of $700 million to help local carriers replace their technology.

Hmmm... I thought Republicans were against government subsidies.

Admittedly, there may be issues that Huawei that do need to be addressed, but I don't think Trump is the person to do it.

Anyone associated with the 1994 Crime Bill will not have a chance of being elected. In particular, African Americans will not be ble to vote for you. I, on the other hand, was responsible for Criminal Justice Reform, which had tremendous support, and helped fix the bad 1994 Bill!....

....Super Predator was the term associated with the 1994 Crime Bill that Sleepy Joe Biden was so heavily involved in passing. That was a dark period in American History, but has Sleepy Joe apologized? No!

Wait, "will not be [a]ble to vote for you"? Would that be due to active voter suppression or is it just that people simply not wanting to vote for someone is such a foreign concept to him.

In this week's episode of "Trade Wars Are Easy To Win", China decides to carry a big stick....

With the U.S.-China trade war intensifying, Chinese state media last week began floating the idea of banning exports of rare-earth elements to the United States, one of several possible Chinese responses to U.S. President Donald Trump’s decision to jack up tariffs on hundreds of billions of dollars’ worth of Chinese goods and blacklist telecoms maker Huawei.

Wiki:
Australia and Chile are the world's top lithium producers, while Bolivia holds the largest potential resources. Argentina completes South America's so-called lithium triangle. China, meanwhile, is also a significant producer. Together, these five countries account for most of the world's lithium supply.
Is Donny REALLY SURE he wants to piss us off with his blather about trying to blame us for the Mueller investigation? And China has a lever to pull as well.

...This is absurd.

And exceedingly dangerous, given Barr's history. That's bearing in mind that everything that Barr declassifies related to Russia is going right to the Russians, one way or another, and could easily get our assets there killed.

Really they should have known better than to trust the US. Valery Plame being clear that giving up agents for a political agenda is always high on republican lists of things to do.

Trump tweets:

Spoke with @GovStitt of Oklahoma last night from Japan because of the devastating tornadoes. Told him that @FEMA and the federal government are fully behind him and the great people of Oklahoma.

But here is the reality:

From: https://www.forbes.com/sites/dennis...ists-and-slash-tornado-research/#607c22533f1b
The president’s proposed budget for 2020 makes more than $75,000,000 in cuts to the National Weather Service that, if passed, could adversely affect the agency’s ability to keep the public safe during severe weather.
...
The budget also proposes the end of VORTEX-SE, a tornado research program aimed at helping meteorologists better understand how and why thunderstorms in the southeastern United States produce tornadoes.
