Wonder if Rogan considers Gabbard one of those "crazy progressives" he says will result in Donald Trump being re-elected.

He has endorsed her and called her "his girl" way before she came on his show (for the second time) now.

Obviously she is the only one in the current set with the stones to beat Trump. If only the hoodwinked morons on the US "left" would be able to recognize an actual adult and stop cheering for fossils like creepy uncle Joe just because that's what the machine tells them to do. Trump would out-uncle him mercilessly as he already showed with that marvelous tweet welcoming him back.

As he would do with automatons like these Warren and Harris characters. And with Bernie who has already proven to not have what it takes to become POTUS.

Citizens United allows corporations to spend unlimited amounts spreading lies and misinformation at no risk to their public reputation.

It is one of the primary reasons why our notion is so politically polarized. Mudslinging no longer has a downside. Nobody can throw it back at you because your identity is hidden from the public.

It may be worth noting, again, that the Citizens United decision was based on the premise of transparency about how the money was flowing. Obviously, that hasn't happened.

Dark money campaigns helped a lot of current office holders by smearing their opponent in the primary or general election. A vote for transparency would make them a target of the feces flingers when they run for re-election.

Tulsi Gabbard on the Joe Rogan show:

I listened to some of this yesterday.

I didn't know anything about her going in but I like what she had to say regarding foreign policy. It was also refreshing to hear a normal conversation rather than rattling off the standard campaign answers and talking points like in most candidates interviews.

Not yet in my top 3, but I still need to learn more about some of her other policy positions so that could change

To make that more explicit: At this point I think the only honorable reason for him to be in this race is that he plans to resign at the moment of maximum publicity and endorse Tulsi. But I have a hard time believing that he is that kind of strategical thinker, so I view his candidacy as less than helpful. Por ahora.

She's more or less on the "progressive" side of things but her one stand-out topic is the abandoning of Empire, being a (still active) soldier who served two terms in Iraq and a close observer of foreign policy decision making in congress.

If you count Dubya's lame "isolationist" promises he had a good excuse to abandon in September 2001, the USA people have voted for that topic since at least 2000, and have always been betrayed, including most blatantly by the hopey-changey guy. While it is the most important topic of all, and the only one people like me or anybody else on this planet, including Putin, have a legitimate reason to "meddle" in because of its worldwide disastrous effects.

I'm not a Bernie Bro and I also hope we get a better candidate than Biden. And I'm not convinced he can beat Trump.

We need one of the three top female candidates, all three have proven track records standing up to Trump. I favor Harris even though she has a few issues.

Biden has sadly gone the "I've already won" route and he's unimpressive.
You're a bit biased though, you were always going to support one of the females.

To beat the old white guy, you need another old white guy, probably Biden. I like Bernie but he has too much socialist baggage to win. Biden has baggage too, of course, but if you have to choose between hair sniffing and pussy grabbing, hair sniffing wins.

Bill DeBlasio makes it 22, 24 if you count Yang and Williamson, whom I have given their own category.

In Or At Least Exploring (By Current or Highest Office Held):

Vice Presidents:
Joe Biden

Governors:
Steve Bullock
Jay Inslee
John Hickenlooper

Senators:
Michael Bennett
Corey Booker
Kirsten Gillibrand
Mike Gravel
Kamala Harris
Amy Klobuchar
Bernie Sanders
Elizabeth Warren

US Representatives:
John Delaney
Tulsi Gabbard
Seth Moulton
Beto O'Rourke
Tim Ryan
Eric Swallwell

Cabinet Members:
Julian Castro

Mayors:
Pete Buttegieg
Bill de Blasio
Wayne Messam

Others likely to qualify for debates:
Andrew Yang
Marianne Williamson

I am biased.

I think to beat the old white guy you need something new and fresh. Biden is old and tired and Trump will wipe the floor with him, sadly.

Trump was explicitly elected because he would "shake things up".

I do think that more women at the top would do that far better, and without starting trade and kinetic wars.

You're about the only non-American on this board I've seen that has at least a decent understanding of US politics. All the others are The Daily Beast parrots.

The more I see of Elizabeth Warren, the more she stands out from the field as someone who's thinking the right thoughts and doing the right things.
...
It's a shame she has no chance, because she looks the perfect mix of liberal and socialist America could do with a dose of.
Nope
