And yet, he is compelled to lie about even that.

He insists that he won the popular vote - once all the 3-5 million illegal votes for Clinton are subtracted from the totals. He insists that his presidency is unprecedented in its popularity; going so far as to claim a record number of attendees at his inaugural crowd. He insists that any evidence that Russia influenced voters is part of a massive multi-agency plot to discredit the claim that his charisma and popularity were the only factors that led to America showing its love for the man by an amazing and unprecedented election victory.

That guy appears to have a very, very, very difficult time presenting accurate and correct information.

He has a VERY difficult time engaging with reality at any level.
 
There's a very good column by a former platoon leader in Iraq about the effect of Trump's pardon of "the convicted war criminal Michael Behenna". The author, who has studied German wartime atrocities in WWII, argues that such pardons increase similar behavior in the future by sending the clear message that **** happens in war and soldiers will not be held accountable.
