....science 2.0?

Imagine an idiot who has watched a lot of the meaty, well-done videos by the really crazy conspiracy theorists, the detailed ones that can lure people into the vortex.

Now, imagine the idiot is just wise enough to not get sucked into the crazy, but they have another critical flaw. They're not funny, but they're convinced they are. If they tried stand-up they'd keep muttering incoherently until a bouncer threw them off the stage or the place emptied out. They're so convinced they're funny however that they think than can "Colbert Report" their way into fame by play-acting a particularity delusional conspiracy theorist.

Science 2.0 is that idiot's YouTube channel. It's so bad, so pathetic, so poorly orchestrated, that it's not even accidentally entertaining by virtue of how much it sucks. If MST3K Riffed YouTube videos they'd pass on the channel on the grounds it's not up to their standards.

That, in a nutshell, is Science 2.0.

In the sense of not getting it, realising there's nothing to get, thinking about other people not getting it and perhaps getting angry, then thinking other people getting angry is funny, well maybe.

But spotting that it had just over a hundred views and being told he's made maybe 60 videos it's all a bit meh. Successful trolling is generating furious argument between others with minimal carefully-judged input. Here, the maker is putting in all the effort and a tiny number of people are being slightly bored.

Now we're getting somewhere! Keep on evaluating, I'll be back by May 23 to see if you've reached a consensus. Again, thanks.

We have, you're just choosing not to acknowledge it.

He is a poor comic actor attempting to parody CT's, and you have totally nothing to do with this nonsense and are definitely not colonelcommand.

Trust me, I've nailed it in that summary for you.

....science 2.0?

Science 2.0 is the name of the channel in question, which is confusing, because Science 2.0 is also a real thing (a suggested approach to teaching science) with a Wikipedia page and tons of articles written about it. However, the channel seems unrelated to those concepts.

Here's the real Science 2.0's Wikipedia. I haven't had much time to peruse it, merely scanned.

I guarantee, this guy is fun to rip into.

I've read the comments on some of his videos. His replies are the sort of drek I'd expect from a talentless hack who thinks he's funny. He's an idiot playing a character and doing it badly. If I want to poke the turd log I'll do it on his YouTube channel, not here.

If you REALLY want to see him torn to shreds, submit his videos to the Distorted View Podcast's Reddit or post them on the show's Discord in the "Content for the show" -> "Video-Audio" thread. If Tim picks up the content for his show expect a roasting on par with a dragon cooking up a few knights for dinner.

I've already lobbed his "What is Science 2.0?" video at both venues, so the seal is already broken.

I'm definitely going to watch all 60 shades of paint dry now you've guaranteed it'll be fun. If I don't come back with 60 hi-hi-hilarious reviews it'll probably be because I've accidentally thrown myself under a bus or something.

Burt Umbrage went on far more pink than I would have expected, but my initial concerns were quickly assuaged as the paint cured to the darker shade I was expecting. The pink faded in a dappled pattern, not unlike the coat of an appaloosa horse, before fading into the uniform color I'd anticipated. The transition was both sad and satisfying, as I saw the rebel pink hue subsumed into the expected conformist color. It was like a metaphor for the education system. Had I'd known what I was in for I'd have put Pink Floyd's "Another Brick In The Wall" on loop while it dried.

I'm glad you submitted science 2.0 to Distorted View, but he's not on today's show, or yesterday's show.

On the chance that Tim chooses not to include him, I highly suggest this thread be used as an analysis of who this guy is. I want to know who he is, if possible, so I can tell his real persona that he's stupid.

No, this forum is not going to help you DOX him.
