I'm afraid that he will use democratic principles to take down democracies. That he will buy American candidates who will do his bidding. Put Russia and its oligarchs ahead of Americans.

Which won't happen if you don't know what his position is, apparently. It's literally burying your head in the sand while praying the cultist mantra.

Putin is no more honest than Trump, he just doesn't lie brazenly about things which don't actually matter.

The event that made Putin a nemesis of "The West" was his "no surrender" speech at the Munich Security Conference in 2007, which everybody can and should look up on youtube. Since then, everything has been completely coherent, transparent and easy to understand, on both sides. Which isn't news to you.

Fixed it for you... Craig's involvement with Manafort is old news. You might want to do a brief check on the internets before posting whimsical, fact-challenged speculation.

The problem here is that there is no end to the spinning and torturous, pretzel-like twisting Trumpistas will do in order to try to defend and vindicate their Dear Leader. Most of them are so divorced from reality; their world-views so distorted, that even if you presented them with actual footage of Trump carrying out a criminal act, they would till deny it, claiming that the video was faked by "The Deep State".

I KNOW what his positions are. Jail or kill his political opposition, murder reporters, invade neighboring countries, discriminate against homosexuals and enrich himself and a small group of oligarchs. Basically the GOP on steroids.

@CLewandowski says he is POSITIVE orders to spy on the #Trump campaign during 2016 came from the HIGHEST levels – perhaps even from Former President #Obama himself.

This statement by Vladimir Putin was quoted:
"We said from the very start that this notorious commission of Mr Mueller will not find anything because nobody knows this better than us. Russia has not interfered in any elections in the United States."

This is what Attorney General William Barr wrote in his Mueller summary which he sent to Congress.
The second element involved the Russian government’s efforts to conduct computer hacking operations designed to gather and disseminate information to influence the election. The Special Counsel found that Russian government actors successfully hacked into computers and obtained emails from persons associated with the Clinton campaign and Democratic Party organizations, and publicly disseminated those materials through various intermediaries, including WikiLeaks. Based on these activities, the Special Counsel brought criminal charges against a number of Russian military officers for conspiring to hack into computers in the United States for the purposes of influencing the election. Head in the sand? Seriously? :(

Oh, come on! You're just cherry-picking the parts where Barr is being a deep-state toady to 12/13/17/etc. "Angry Democrats".

Anybody could do that. We already know those parts don't count.

Jeez!

The British weren't spying on Trump. The British were logging calls* with Russian agents, noted that there was a lot of contact between those agents and Trump associates, and informed American intelligence agencies.

*As in, not even listening in on, but rather doing the equivalent of looking at their phone bill to see what numbers are on it.

And we've only heard the spying allegation from a Trump supporter. Trump supporters are of low character, lack integrity and are not loyal to their country. We can't really take any of this seriously until it comes from someone untainted by an association with Trump. Their kind can't be trusted.

1. Trump colluded with Russia.
2. Mueller proved it.
3. Mueller's report contains the proof.
4. Barr is lying about it.

What the actual known facts are are that the leaks allegedly from Mueller's team called the evidence of collusion "significant", and said that Barr's letter didn't accurately represent the content of the report. Barr himself, despite twice using the phrase "summarize the principal conclusions" in his letter has subsequently denied in a letter to the Congressional and Senate Judiciary Committees that it was intended to be a summary of the report. Barr has also testified under oath that his letter was "binary" and only spoke to whether or not there was sufficient evidence of criminal conspiracy to successfully bring charges, not on whether or not there was evidence (significant or otherwise) of collusion.

Anybody who is saying there is more or less to this story is either misinformed or intending to misinform or obfuscate.

Vladimir Putin said, "Russia has not interfered in any elections in the United States." Last July the U.S. Justice Department, acting on a criminal complaint filed by the Mueller probe, indicted twelve Russians:
All 12 defendants are members of the GRU, a Russian federation intelligence agency within the main intelligence directorate of the Russian military, who were acting in "their official capacities."...The Justice Department says the hacking targeted Clinton's campaign, Democratic National Committee and the Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee, with the intention to "release that information on the internet under the names DCLeaks and Guccifer 2.0 and through another entity." CNN Link

The announcements of the indictments came a few days before president Trump met with Vladimir Putin in Helsinki. Among others, Sen. John McCain said, "If President Trump is not prepared to hold Putin accountable, the summit in Helsinki should not move forward." In a statement released by the Russian government, the Mueller investigation was characterized as a "shameful comedy that disgraces the US."

Remember, at the Helsinki Summit Putin denied all the charges and in an unprecedented action, the American president sided with Russia over U.S. intelligence sources.
President Trump was asked if he believed his own intelligence agencies or the Russian president when it came to the allegations of meddling in the elections. "President Putin says it's not Russia. I don't see any reason why it would be," he replied. BBC link

Even some Republicans reacted with outrage.
"There is no moral equivalence between the United States and Russia, which remains hostile to our most basic values and ideals," he said, adding that there was "no question" Moscow had interfered in the 2016 election. Ryan said Mr Trump "must appreciate that Russia is not our ally." Senior Republican Senator John McCain said it was a "disgraceful performance" by a US president. "No prior president has ever abased himself more abjectly before a tyrant."

How does Congress enforce obstruction by the Attorney General? Is there a court procedure to obtain the Mueller report? Can a judge order a timeline for its release, redacted?
