The Trump Presidency 13: The (James) Baker's Dozen

Not that anyone believes the hateful slimeball, but I have to wonder why she would have had to fight "behind the scenes".

Was she afraid that someone might think she wasn't hateful enough?

Not much chance of that.

Well, of course she didn't. "Behind the scenes" had to be added in order to preemptively explain why no journalist or researcher will ever be able to unearth an instance from any point in history of Betsy DeVos appearing on the record advocating for Special Olympics funding, despite her claiming to have done so for "several years".

Had the Fed not mistakenly raised interest rates, especially since there is very little inflation, and had they not done the ridiculously timed quantitative tightening, the 3.0% GDP, & Stock Market, would have both been much higher & World Markets would be in a better place!

Does he not understand that their job is to not let it get much higher?

"I support the Great Lakes. Always have. They are beautiful. They are big, very deep. Record deepness, right?"

He never ceases to amaze me by his command of the English language. Shakespeare can't hold a candle to the sheer beauty and eloquence of Trump.

Well, you know "depth" is kind of hard to pronounce, and it's an irregular construction. "Deepness" just rolls off the tongue and it's consistent with the way other adjectives are converted to nouns. Clearly this is yet another example of Trump's genius that only looks like extreme ignorance on the surface. :D

Jan 15, 2017 · President-elect Donald Trump said in a weekend interview that he is nearing completion of a plan to replace President Obama's signature health-care law with the goal of "insurance for everybody," while also vowing to force drug companies to negotiate directly with the government on prices in Medicare and Medicaid.

I wonder if Trump even knows why the government doesn't negotiate drug prices, and who it is that passed the laws which prevent it?

If he keeps going like this pretty soon he'll be vowing to force a Green New Deal.

He's always supported lakes?

I certainly hope the lakes are appreciative and not taking Trump for granted.

He's quite upbeat about everything right now.

It's almost as though he's relieved the investigation didn't find anything.

The investigation actually found a lot. He's upbeat because the guy he hired to make sure he was never charged with anything, did his job.

The hypocrisy is strong in the Trump-zombies.

What Barr gave Trump was much less of an exoneration than what Comey gave Clinton - and yet he is now definitely innocent and she is definitely guilty.

Please reconsider your standards for "locking X up"... for your side's sake.

I'm rather curious about the lack of outrage on soaring gas prices. Used to be that every time gas went up even a nickel it was like the end of the world.

Surely, he must understand that this shield is only temporary. If he loses the election in 2020, his shield will evaporate. The incoming president will fire Barr and release the entirety of the Mueller report. Trump's legal jeopardy is considerable, both federal and state, in multiple jurisidictions.

Unfortunately, there is an understanding that once a President leaves office, everything is forgiven and forgotten. It's not a vote-winner to be a sore loser and help put your predecessor in jail.

Firstly, I don't think the USA has previously had such a criminal piece of crap as a president. Sure, Nixon was a crook, but his issues centred around his presidency (CREEP and the Watergate Hotel break-in), he didn't have legal jeopardy with

- Inaugural committee fraud
- New York state tax investigations - filing false tax returns
- Financing of his projects - using false documents to fraudulently obtain loans
- Insurance fraud - using false financial statements defraud insurance companies

Secondly, I don't think the New York State prosecutors investigating Trump's criminal enterprises are interested in garnering votes.

What I find extremely funny is Trump's boast that the GOP health care plan will be better.

 What plan?

Seriously, when have the Republicans ever proposed a health care plan? I can't think of one. The 70s maybe? The Affordable Care Act is the closest one I can think of because it was essentially created by the conservative think tank Heritage Foundation. But the GOP never proposed it.

Trump has been saying they are going to propose something better. Better for who?
For all the important stakeholders of course...so CEOs and the like.

Oh piffle. Trump still attacks Obama and keeps calling for investigations of his Presidency. Hillary Clinton hasn't held public office since 2013 and demands for her conviction for something we are not entirely certain what but it will show up any day now we just need a sixth Benghazi hear... wait we already had the sixth? What number hearing are we up to now? You're not sure either? It's got to be in my notes somewhere...

You just were not made for this job. Bullying is no way to run a county. Threatening to lock up is in fact abuse of your power. Grow up old man!

The Republican Party will become the Party of Great HealthCare! ObamaCare is a disaster, far too expensive and deductibility ridiculously high - virtually unusable! Moving forward in Courts and Legislatively!

Republican plan will be BETTER! For the survivors! Cheaper! The sick will all die and be rejected so no problem! Premiums down or else!
