Trump Tweets

Good Morning, Have A Great Day!

MAKE AMERICA GREAT AGAIN!
My two cents: Mueller made the case that Tweeting can be Obstruction.

You know, these first two bland Tweets since the release of the Mueller report may bear that out.

Nah... that would imply some sort of self-awareness on behalf of The PDJT.

Trump's been in Mar-a-Lago since Friday morning. Yesterday he played golf -with Kid Rock. CNN reported:
Trump did not tweet about the report -- or anything else -- on Saturday. Those who interacted with him described him as calm. "What a great man, so down to earth and so fun to be with!!" tweeted the singer Kid Rock, who joined Trump on the golf course. He posted a photo of photo of himself -- clad in American flag-print trousers -- alongside the President. Link

Kid Rock tweeted-
Another great day on the links! Thank you to POTUS for having me and to EVERYONE at Trump International for being so wonderful. What a great man, so down to earth and so fun to be with!! KEEP AMERICA GREAT!! -Kid Rock Link

I suppose it makes a change from ripping off Warren Zevon and Lynyrd Skynyrd

Off-topic and I don't mean to start a long derail, but request a simple clarification.

I don't like the song, but he didn't rip off Zevon or Skynyrd, did he? He credited them as songwriters and I presume that he negotiated rights.

You don't mean to post a derail but you do. Wouldn't it be preferable to exercise a little discretion and just Google, "Kid Rock ripped off Zevon and Skynyrd?" and see what you find. Like I just did. I didn't even have to open the links. The relevant information was in the previews. And no, I'm not going to tell you what I found. ;)

And then rhymed the word “things” with.... “things”.

Thanks, but doing a search is how I learned that the original songwriters were credited in Kid Rock's pathetic mashup. It is a derivative work (in the pejorative sense, far as I'm concerned) but not a ripoff as the term is usually used.

But, you're right. We should leave it here. I was just idly wondering whether there was a rights issue regarding the song, but I don't want to derail the thread.

It's time to give Trump credit for a record accomplishment.

The U.S. posted its largest monthly budget deficit on record in February with a gap of $234 billion, breaking the previous $231.7 billion mark set in February 2012, Bloomberg reports.

The big picture: According to Treasury data released Friday, the deficit for the first five months of this fiscal year jumped to $544.2 billion — a 40% increase from the 2018 fiscal year — as corporate and individual tax revenues declined following President Trump's $1.5 trillion tax cut package.

Trump was apparently quite concerned about the Mueller report coming out. CNN (and other news outlets) reported he left the White House for Mar-A-Lago Friday morning, accompanied by a much larger number of aides than usual. One described the president as being "calm." They made it sound like Donnie was really on edge about this. Hey, break out the smelling salts.

Hi all.

THis your umpteen thousandth reminder that the president is a white supremacist. Note that his golf companion is wearing a US flag for pants for no apparent reason. Dolt 45, unlike when he sees black people protesting wanton police violence based on skin color, is not screeching "get that son of a bitch off the course he's fired. HE"S FIRED!!"

Thanks.

Trump's aides probably breathed a sigh of relief. "Thank god he's not wearing his Confederate flag pants!!!"

<my-speculation>

Donny and Melanie are packing go-bags for an urgent departure from Mar-a-lago, and his closest aides are trying to contact ODESSA about booking some flights.

</my-speculation>

*raises an eyebrow*

Did I claim that Trump did there?

Not explicitly, but absent any such violation, there is a substantive difference between the two cases. Hillary violated security laws, as far as we know Trump didn't. No double standard is needed in order to approach them differently.

If you actually meant Kushner, on the other hand, perhaps you should pay attention to the context? To repeat, by the "standards" claimed by those who want Hillary in jail, Kushner deserves being locked up even more.

Which law (not protocol) did Kushner violate?
