We don't know what is in the report..yet. That CNN description is just rehash of what we already know. Most legal experts expect some more indictments to come down.
If you were expecting Trump to be led from the White House in handcuffs, that was never in the cards.
I wasn't expecting Trump to be lead from the White House in handcuffs... like I said though, I was at least expecting a few more of his closer henchmen to be affected.

I certainly do hope more indictments are in their future.
That Mueller was winding up his report has been all over the news for the past month.
Yeah but the thing is we've heard about his investigation ending multiple times in the past. (Granted, Trump and his clan may have been behind some of those earlier claims, but its not easy to separate the wheat from the chaff.)

Except for the bit where it didn't find the thing it set out to find, and didn't indict anyone for the thing everybody expected it to indict for.

You come home from a fishing expedition with an icebox full of mackerel, it looks like a successful expedition... Until everyone remembers that set out to catch the Big Tuna.

So there you are, with your pile of mackerel, arms spread, telling everybody about the One that Got Away.

Oh come now, you're fully aware that many of those indictments are for interfering with the US elections. A bunch of Russians were indicted, and at least one is pleading guilty and cooperating.

Why are you trying to frame the narrative as if it was a failure when it is clearly not? I don't believe for a second that you are unaware, but are you falling for the Trump-wing narrative or are you knowingly pushing it?

Lots of things are said over the news that turn out not the be true.

True, but it has been constanly and consistently reported that Mueller was winding up his report. When all the sources say that it's a good bet its true.
No one covering the story is at all surprised that the report was handed in today.

The investigation was set up : it obviously didn't set out to do anything.

... and didn't indict anyone for the thing everybody expected it to indict for.
I don't doubt you expected indictments for conspiracy, but you don't speak for everybody.

Once again you seem to be assigning volition to an inanimate object. Most people grow out of that around years three to four.

You are in a pile of something of your own production. I'm sure ypu feel very warm and snug in there, but don't expect anyone to join you.

Moving to Canada in 2 years. How much is a small house in Winnipeg? Thunder Bay? I can’t afford Toronto or Vancouver.
Stay away from Ontario and BC, they're the two most expensive provinces to live in. Manitoba and Newfoundland are the two cheapest provinces to live in, as far as I'm aware.

A small house (2 bedroom, 1000 sq ft) in Winnipeg will run you about $100,000 to $200,000 (depending on the area and condition of the house). Twenty minutes outside of the city in any direction, you can find the same little house for about $50,000 to $90,000.

Any city in Canada, the housing prices will be double to the surrounding rural towns.

Are you sure you're moving? From where? Canada has pretty tough requirements for emigration.

Looks like some people will be owed an apology.

Oh brother!

I suggest you wait to see what's in the report, and, the state AGs that are following up on campaign finance, tax, bank and real estate fraud.

If anyone owes anyone an apology, it's going to be the GOP legislators that had a cow over Comey not indicting Clinton.

Why? Some people here made explicit assertions about what Mueller would do. A state AG could indict Jared for murder. Apologies would still be owed.

Truth be told: I prefer mackerel over tuna 4 out of 5 times. I saw somewhere that they feed tuna with sardines, which is a disgrace! Sardines taste so much better than tuna!

It was always unreasonable to expect any of the Trump family to be indicted. An airtight case would be the minimum requirement before the DOJ would indict any of the Trump inner circle.

It should be common knowledge by now that the DOJ will not indict a sitting president. The responsibility of dealing with a criminal president is left to congress.

It should also be common knowledge that congress will not act against the president without a broad public consensus in favor of congressional action.

None of which means there was no Trump involvement in a conspiracy to defraud the United States. The causes for suspicion continue to exist. In fact, Trump has already been named as an "unindicted co-conspirator" in a prominent election fraud case.

In a perfect universe, every serious crime would be uncovered and charged, resulting in a just conviction and sentence. Not in this universe.
