The President of the United States of America releases a statement

George Conway, often referred to as Mr. Kellyanne Conway by those who know him, is VERY jealous of his wife’s success & angry that I, with her help, didn’t give him the job he so desperately wanted. I barely know him but just take a look, a stone cold LOSER & husband from hell!

In 2017 Trump offered George Conway an Assistant AG position at DOJ. Conway turned it down.

Wow, pitting wife against husband. No wonder the evangelicals love him. He echoes the best parts of the bibble. Matthew 10:35, in this case.

To be fair, George Conway IS a stone cold LOSER and husband from hell.

Think about the way he’s cheated on Kellyanne with porn stars and playmates, and then tried to hush it all up with payoffs.

Oh, wait...wrong husband from hell. My bad.

All I can think of (apart from the regular things, like insanity and drug abuse) is that he wants to provoke Kellyanne Conway into resignation.

Lovely man, your president. The USA should be so proud.

You can tell there's a lot of suffering behind the latest tweet storm. Hee hee hee. It's just so funny when Trump suffers. I feel bad for the kids if the Conway bitch but at least they have a father they can be proud of. He didn't sell out his country like his wife did.

Interesting comment from Kellyanne:

Asked Monday about her husband's criticisms and concerns about the president, Kellyanne told reporters she did not share them.

Speaking to The Post last year, Kellyanne said her husband's anti-Trump tweets "disrespects his wife."

"It is disrespectful, it's a violation of basic decency, certainly, if not marital vows," she said, then asking to have that quote attributed to "a person familiar with their relationship."

The Post did not grant her request

Yeah, yet another societal norm is fading fast. The First Amendment starts:

I read somewhere now that the Supremes are decidedly toward the religious side, proponents of Christianity are going to start pushing the second part of that clause, namely, the "free exercise" part. They will start to argue, for example, that not allowing prayer in schools is impinging on students "free exercise" of their religion.

I fear that they may find some success with such an approach. Fundamentalists will, of course, push that "free exercise" part just as far as they can ... and then some.

Not good.

You're probably right on how they want to play it, but the highlighted part shows how successful they've already been in shaping public public perception.

There is no restriction on prayer in schools. Students are free to, on their own, say prayers, or even group together to pray. What they can't have are mandatory or teacher/faculty led prayers. No one is infringing on an individual students right to exercise religion, just their "right" to force others to exercise the religion they choose.

Again too bad for the kids but maybe this is a first step in her divorce. I'd like it if she ended up destroyed by her betrayal. 20 years from a news anchor will tell us she died bitter and alone, partially eaten by her 12 cats.

She does look a bit like a crazy old cat lady.

Yep. The idea that if little innocent Mary Anne bows her head before lunch at school a big ole' mean teacher is going to come along and tell her the ACLU says she can't do that is sooooooo damn ingrained in certain parts of the culture.

I generally stay far, far, far, far away from the SJW "Privilege" argument as much as possible, but this does illustrate how people can be so used to being in positions of power that being treated equally feels like an attack on them. I honestly think some of them can't on an intellectual or emotional level see any difference between "You can't force students to prey, a school official can't lead students in prayer" and "Outlawing prayer in schools."

Freudian slip?

:D

I don't think you get it. Not being able to mandate prayer in schools is oppression. Colleges have all been turned into liberal atheist Communist indoctrination centers, so grade schools and high schools obviously need to be used as a counterbalance. It's only fair.

Yeah! Every morning children should be mandated to give thanks and pray to Mithra, Zeus and Bael. Let's see how far that goes in the buckle of the old bible belt?

Glenn Beck to Hannity: "We are officially at the end of the country as we know it" if Trump loses in 2020

https://thehill.com/homenews/media/...ly-at-the-end-of-the-country-as-we-know-it-if

I agree with him on this point.
Beck said before addressing the president directly “I will tell you — the things that you have done as the president are remarkable! Remarkable!”

The things Trumps has done have been remarkable. Extraordinary, even. Totally bizarre, too.

This may have already been posted (I don't see it)-
Donald Trump tweeted
So it was indeed (just proven in court papers) “last in his class” (Annapolis) John McCain that sent the Fake Dossier to the FBI and Media hoping to have it printed BEFORE the Election. He & the Dems, working together, failed (as usual). Even the Fake News refused this garbage!

What is this huge problem Donnie seems to have with John McCain? Anyone know? Damn. The man passed away, can Donnie Dumpster Fire at least allow the man to rest in peace?
Some republican senators have started to complain about Trump's treatment of Mccain.

From: https://www.cbsnews.com/news/republican-senator-slams-trump-for-mccain-criticism/
Sen. Johnny Isakson, a Georgia Republican, will denounce President Trump's criticism of the late Sen. John McCain in a radio interview Wednesday afternoon....After McCain's death in August, Isakson said on the Senate floor that "anybody who in any way tarnishes the reputation of John McCain deserves a whipping." The senator now intends to fulfill that promise with Mr. Trump, telling The Bulwark, "I want to do what I said that day on the floor of the Senate."

Oh no! He's going to say mean words to Trump! That will really change things. Or not.

I think we can assume Isakson's comments are just empty rhetoric. The fact is, Trump has attacked McCain (as well as other veterans) since before the 2016 election. (Remember the "I prefer people who weren't captured" comments.) Yet Isakson still voted for Trump's supreme court nominees. He still voted for the health care and tax bills. He voted in favor of other Trump nominees. And the next time he's called on to approve another Trump nominee I'm sure he will be eager to cast his vote.

If he really wanted to express his disapproval, he would have told Trump and the rest of the GOP that until Trump starts acting as a normal human being he'll stop rubber-stamping everything Trump and McConnell put in front of him. But I rather suspect he won't do that.
