Joe Biden got tongue tied over the weekend when he was unable to properly deliver a very simple line about his decision to run for President. Get used to it, another low I.Q. individual!

Wow! A Suffolk/USA Today Poll, just out, states, “50% of Americans AGREE that Robert Mueller’s investigation is a Witch Hunt.” @MSNBC Very few think it is legit! We will soon find out?

GDP growth during the four quarters of 2018 was the fastest since 2005. This Administration is the first on record to have experienced economic growth that meets or exceeds its own forecasts in each of its first two years in office. GROWTH is beating MARKET EXPECTATIONS!

That does appear to be accurate.

Fifty percent say they agree with Trump's assertion that the special counsel's investigation is a "witch hunt" and that he has been subjected to more investigations than previous presidents because of politics; 47 percent disagree. Just 3 percent don't have an opinion.

Although strangely enough, the same article points out the following:
A 52 percent majority say they have little or no trust in the president's denials that his 2016 campaign colluded with Moscow in the election that put him in the Oval Office.

So what this means is that there is a percentage of the population who thinks Trump colluded with Russia, but still thinks the Mueller investigation is a "witch hunt". Not sure how that's supposed to work... "He's guilty but its wrong to investigate it".

"Well Hillary would have been more crooked!" is probably where that mentality begins and ends.

5-10% of the hard core members of the various political sides basically having talked themselves into a "There is no evil my side can do that isn't outdone by the other side so my side's evils are excusable" frame of reference sounds about right to me.

That does appear to be accurate.

Note also that 47% is "very few" -- unless it's Trump's approval rating, of course.

Who's forecasts is he referring to? After all, back in 2017 Trump himself was predicting a >6% growth rate, but the growth rate in 2018 was in the 2.5-3% range.

TOTAL UNADULTERATED BULL. That is a conspiracy nonsense talking. Perhaps thats how it works under Republicans. But guess what? I don't believe that either. I know lots of people in government who want to do the best they can for the public.

It's also the idea that legilators are supposed to just be rubber stamps for the voters, blindly following whatever the opinion polls say. An important part of a legislators job is to say "no" when the public embraces a bad idea.
Government by plebiscite sucks. Look at the UK for an example.

This may have already been posted (I don't see it)-

What is this huge problem Donnie seems to have with John McCain? Anyone know? Damn. The man passed away, can Donnie Dumpster Fire at least allow the man to rest in peace?

Best time to attack them. They can't fight back and you can say anything you want.

Even KellyAnne Conway seemed a little rattled this morning when asked if the President is going off the hinge.

It won't be long now.

I got a sick feeling within a year we will be involved in major war. It's the ultimate way for Donnie to show how tough he is.

The governor has the right to cancel an execution. All Newsom did was commute them to life all at once, not one at a time.

He did not commute, he granted a reprieve. A reprive is temporary, a commute is permanent. Apparently the Governor does not have the right to issue a mass commutation of sentence.

Are you sure? What's stopping the governor from say signing 200 individual commutations instead of one commutation for 200 individuals?

Probably nothing except the increased work required for the former compared to the latter.

Nothing. But the point is he has to sign 200 individual commutations, he can't sign a single mass commutation.

....We now have the best Economy in the World, the envy of all!

Mate, your economy might not be in the toilet, yet, but its heading there.

The current expansion began in 2009 under the Obama administration and should have continued for longer, but is is being brought to a halt by stupid, ill thought out policies (such as getting into a trade war with China) that will put the brakes on this year, and slide the US into a recession by mid-2020.

You keep telling everyone about the $billions you are making from the tariffs on Chinese imports, but you are too stupid to understand that it isn't the Chinese who are paying those $billions, its the American consumer. That situation cannot be sustained for long. Sooner or later it will all come crashing down, and your economy will end up in the toilet pan, waiting for someone or something to pull the chain to flush it completely.

I do think Melania just has one of those faces that is heavily affected by lighting. A lot of models do.

I don't see that really as an obstacle if he chose to do it.

Pardons/commutations always carry a symbolic political message way beyond any literal application of them. Putting that much effort into doing it would carry a meaning.

None of that is Trumpy thumbs. I cannot imagine that mess of a brain being able to even construct those sentences.

It has a political meaning regardless of how it is done. The how makes little difference.

I'm guessing that to Governor Newsom he simply sees it as the right thing to do. If anything, he takes a hit doing it because the majority of people even in California believe in the death penalty. That said, I doubt very many people would change their vote on that issue alone,
