If Flynn was really treasonous, then why did Mueller recommend no prison time?

Does it not give you even a millisecond's pause that a federal judge, who has *seen* the evidence against Flynn, would actually put into words in court that Flynn's crimes might inspire to consider them as verging on treason?

Because of Flynn's pleading down via cooperation, most of his chargeable offenses are necessarily hidden from the public. The deal he cut to plead guilty to your so-called "process" crime means that's all we see. And all the Trumpers *want* to see. But the judge sees all of that which we cannot. And it shocked and infuriated him. If we could see all that too, I wonder if it'd give you cause to change your tune, Zig.

Or do you believe the judge to be a purely partisan actor with his own agenda to take down Trump and co?

Flynn was one of the first* people to flip. The first people to flip always get the best plea deals because they give the most useful information. This also encourages people to be the first to flip, because they're going against everybody, rather than joining a list of people who have already flipped.

*Perhaps even the first, my memory is a little hazy

Papadopoulos was fairly certainly before, so just one of the first? Much as Flynn would fairly certainly have more and more useful information than he did.

Flynn can't possibly have committed treason, because we aren't at war with Russia, Turkey or the Arabian kingdoms.
In times of war, what he didn't probably would have constituted treason.
The kidnapping plot is getting pretty close in times of war.

Oh Christ. The “ process crime” ********.

“They did not conspire, they merely discussed it and carried it out”

You treasonous apologists disgust me. Take some pride in your country before whoring it out to scum like Putin and Kim Jong Il.
As I often say the important word is "crime" not process.

It is work product of the executive branch. A executive power is vested in the president. Not getting final edit seems weird.
Even weirder if a potential subject of the report is the executive of the branch doing the editing, and super-weird if the executive has previously shown a poor understanding of checks and balances, interference in the traditional independence of the Justice Dept., etc.
