No actually he should not, because he was suffering under a massive conflict of interest, and was recording them without their consent for the sole purpose of trying to gin up something to bargain with to keep his criminal wife from ending up as chained heat.

You do know that Cohen's monstrous betrayals only came to light after those comments, right? I mean at some level you must know how grossly disingenuous that so called argument is, right?

Thomas Jefferson complimented Benedict Arnold and George Washington promoted him twice.

Hell, if one looks back, I am certain that people said nice things about Judas Iscariot.

That is why his actions are a monstrous betrayal.

Out of curiosity, which time? His previous Congressional testimony where he lied for and at the direction of the President? Or his testimony yesterday where he brought documents that showed that Trump's lawyers edited his previous testimony?

What's clear by both his testimony and the documents that Trump committed Felony Banking Fraud and Felony Insurance Fraud as well as suborned perjury.

One of those documents included financial statements that were provided to Deutsche Bank and Insurance companies. In itTrump grotesquely inflated the value of his assets and grotesquely deflated his liabilities. Among properties he overvalued was the estate he purchased in the late 90s for 7.5 million and recently assessed at under 20 million dollars, that statement valued it to be 291 million dollars.

If Cohen did work for Trump, or anyone else, then Cohen should be paid for that work.
 
Benedict Arnold ? Seriously TBD? Your comparing Arnold sending plans for the fort at West Point to the British during the Revolutionary War for money to Cohen providing the documentation that Trump lied to the American people, Banks and Insurance companies.

You and I have a different definition of treason.

Not only is breach of a lawyer's fiduciary duty a basis for legal malpractice, a defense for a fee claim, but also can require disgorgement of fees.

If that is the case, then Trump can sue Cohen for damages.

However, Trump is still obligated to pay Cohen for the work that Cohen did for Trump.
