That's already a disrespectful thing to do, and more than once, but there's something particularily creepy about Trump in particular hugging the American flag. It's like he's smothering it to end its suffering.

And it's not just his flag molesting. How many times have we seen him in some kind of pouting position? Arms folded, scowling, two-year-old "Don't Wanna!" kinds of poses that any other leader would know right away made them look like a petulant child. And his creepy grin-and-thumbs-up pose he does in pictures all the time.

Looking at another clip of that CPAC speech, I see when he makes a statement that the audience just eats up, and he turns to the side and perhaps takes a step or two away from the podium, with a self-satisfied smirk.

That is the definition of "basking".
