This kind of NDA is illegal under 1A. Every one of those interns should get legal advice, but I'm pretty sure that those NDAs will not stand up in court.

Easy to say, but lawyers are expensive, even if you win in the end. And these people are working as Trump interns because they support him. It's not like they were sent over by a temp agency.

There is a class-action lawsuit on behalf of campaign staffers. I have read legal opinions that think the result of that lawsuit could impact the enforceability of any of Trump's NDAs.

That could be a big deal. There are all sorts of people who want to describe their interactions with the pre-2016 version of President Trump.

I’m not entirely convinced. If I were hoping for a career in politics, I might take a White House internship just for the experience. Also, I am curious to a fault, so I might accept an internship just because I want to see the guy behind the curtain screaming, “ignore the man behind the curtain, or at least ignore everything you’ve heard about the man behind the curtain because that guy is a very stable genius.”

There is far more ENERGY on the Right than there is on the Left. That’s why we just won the Senate and why we will win big in 2020. The Fake News just doesn’t want to report the facts. Border Security is a big factor. The under construction Wall will stop Gangs, Drugs and Crime!

In "Deception, Inc," in the current The New Yorker Magazine, it is reported that for many intelligence agencies, the effect of Russian efforts to influence the 2016 U.S. presidential election was an eye opener. It is considered to have been highly effective in ways many intelligence people (including from the military side) did not believe possible. I was taken aback by a quote from Tamir Pardo, the former head of Israel's Mossad.
Senior Israeli officials, like their American counterparts, had been dubious about the effectiveness of influence campaigns. Russia’s operation in the U.S. convinced Tamir Pardo, the former Mossad director, and others in Israel that they, too, had misjudged the threat. “It was the biggest Russian win ever. Without shooting one bullet, American society was torn apart,” Pardo said. “This is a weapon. We should find a way to control it, because it’s a ticking bomb. Otherwise, democracy is in trouble.” Link

Desperate attempt to divert attention. Claiming the status quo (Senate outcome) as his "win", and wall building success, is typical and obvious Trump lying.

So who is he REALLY writing this for?? And did he really write it?

I notice he doesn't say it will stop people.

ETA: Slats wouldn't stop fentanyl from being passed through, but beyond that, fentanyl doesn't require an army of farmers in Afghanistan and a huge global distribution network. It can be synthesized in a lab. The quantities involved are tiny, incredibly tiny in the case of carfentanil, and losing a shipment doesn't mean you've lost a portion of a finite poppy crop. You can just whip up more in a lab. Quite a bit of it is simply coming in the mail from China. It's so strong, it often can't be countered with naloxone.

I do not believe Trump gives a **** about the deaths of addicts.

He's writing it for all those enraptured faces he sees at his rallies, and the minds he imagines living behind them. Since Trump lacks any shred of empathy those are caricature minds, but given the nature of his followers a caricature is accurate enough.

It must be dawning on him what those poll numbers mean. An alternate reality must be constructed and, lacking imagination, he just goes with "black is white."

I've seen this a lot, but I don't think it means all that much. The question is, does he refuse to talk about Trump? Or does he refuse to talk about socializing with under 18 year olds?

Now, if the questioning had been
"Have you ever socialized with Trump?"
"yes"
"Have you ever socialized with under 18 year olds?"
"yes"
"Have you ever socialized with Trump and 18 year olds?"
"Taking the 5th"

that would have been more meaningful. But it's likely he was just avoiding admitting hanging out with pre-18 girls.

But this discussion of Epstein completely misses the ball. Everyone knows (now) that Epstein is slime, and it certainly taints everyone he has been involved with, including Trump and Bill Clinton. That's not the issue. The issue is, the prosecutors broke the law in giving him a soft deal in the way they did, and protecting him. And that is not merely an opinion, that is a judicial ruling. And that prosecutor who did that is now the Secretary of Labor. So we have a Secretary of Labor who has been found guilty of protecting a child predator.

Of course, this issue was raised by Diane Feinstein at his approval hearing, and was dismissed by those who supported him. Her concerns are now vindicated. Unless, of course, you think it's not big deal that a child predator protector is Secretary of Labor, because, hey, he's done a great job so far!

Only the best people...

Err... Maybe a peek back at Trump's Modeling Agency is in order? When he was younger, there were also apparently a bunch of parties that he threw that involved bringing in drugs and young teenage girls. Epstein joining in on those parties would probably be the simplest explanation for how Trump knew that he went after young teens.

You could actially deconstruct his tweet:

The Fake News just doesn’t want to report the facts. >>> The under construction Wall will stop Gangs, Drugs and Crime! <<< Fake News.

Most objective observers don't think a wall will do anything of the kind. Even the Border Agent's website said that until they deleted that statement (probably at the request of DonnieBoy).

"Acosta granted immunity to any potential co-conspirators.”

This is a part that really disturbs me about this whole affair. This is a very unusual, almost unheard of step.

► Did Acosta know that there were co-conspirators, or others who have "benefited" from Epstein's predatory paedofile behaviour?

► If so, did he know who they might be, and is he trying to protect people, especially, someone famous or of great importance.

I can see the distinct possibility of a private conversation having taken place between Acosta and Epstein in which Epstein bargains for a very light sentence on the basis that he can name names.

I'll bet there are some potential co-conspirators out there who are fairly crapping themselves in fear of this whole deal being overturned.

Who are you talking about, and who are you replying to?

HINT: It might help if you used the bloody "Quote" button!

I'm guessing Kelly Craft, Trumps nominee for UN ambassador. The airhead that sees both sides of climate science.
