horrifying attack on Jussie Smollett

The letter was obviously a hoax so the attack was as well. That was more my line of thinking.

The brothers just left the grand jury room in Chicago.

Jussie is running out of time to get to rehab or whatever

We read about the attack before we read about the letter. I initially thought that the attack was a hoax, then when I read about the letter I thought that it would be a hoax too.

For me, the letter does not seem more hoaxy than the attack. They are equally unbelievable to me.

Yes and one day soon crazed murderers will be off-limits in Hollywood movies because of this. The poor serial killer, we can't portray him as evil anymore! They are actually the good guys these days (Dexter, Tony Soprano...). Society will be the bad guy for creating them.

Smollett definitely has issues. Should I feel sorry for him? Everyone has problems. We really have created a society of victims.

People, even the news media are now more empowered than ever to jump to conclusions in regards to these hate-crime incidents. I wonder when that started?

To anyone:
Does what you see in the news "corroborate" what you see in your day to day lives? People say the sky is falling, I just don't see it. Most people I meet are kind. No arguments in McDonalds or coffee shops. No fights over BBQs at the park.

People are just living their lives far as I can tell. Oh there are problems here and there I'm sure, but I see no crisis in this country. It's only gotten better over the years. Turn off your TV and enjoy.

There is a difference between main character and good guy.

Though now that I type that I think you and I have been down this road before.

Neither character you mentioned was the "good guy", in dexter the "good guy" was a character named Dokes and a couple others, in the sopranos there were the FBI agents tracking Tony and the crew.

If you quoted Babylon bee for humor, ******* gag.

If you quoted thinking it was a legit source, it's like a religious the onion.

Hey !!!

I made it until half way through the third paragraph until I started to smell something funny.

Not that I'd ever publicly admit that, of course. Somehow it just seemed kind of plausible.

Why wouldn’t he turn over the phone to police? Or if not the phone, a printout of calls during the time period which is easily found on your phone company’s web site?

I simply can’t imagine why he wouldn’t. Unless of course...there was no manager call.

What am I missing?

I don't know the answer to your question, but the error in your assumption is that the reason must be in some way related to the attack (or hoax attack if you prefer).

If there was a message on his phone that said, "I just bought a sub sandwich. I really wish I had some heroin to go with it. I'll pay double what I usually pay if you deliver it now" then he wouldn't want to turn in his phone.

I feel the same way.

In fact I felt similar to the way I felt about this issue in and of itself. "That seems a little too spot on, better check the link".

But I'm well versed in this site, which is a crappy version of The Hard Times, which is a crappy version of the onion , which is a crappy version of showing ones opinion.

I was going to apologize for my original harsh tone, but the bee still deserves it. The poster nsm, but seriously **** that thrice removed from funny site.

Just what I was thinking, that article really seemed like it should be on the Onion.
