Feet to the fire, I think he's gotten a better tailor, probably whoever the White House already had on staff. His suits are fitted better.

For a billionaire who owns/has stake in several clothing companies he always had really bad fitting suits.

And after 3 years of being ridiculed for it in hundreds of cartoons, he's still likes his ties hanging down to his crotch. Given his severe personality disorder, my theory is that he's got it in his head that it makes him look powerful.

I noticed Trump looked a less... off and slobbish in the White House Christmas portrait and I think it's because in it he's wearing a Tux with a bow tie instead of his normal "Which Arby's do you manage?" tie.

I don’t think I could come up with a more apt description if I spent a year trying.

I read somewhere that he thinks the extra long time makes him look thinner.

As for the suits, I had always assumed that as he aged a grew a bit smaller, as we all do, and he refused to get new suits. Either because of his cheapness or because his vanity kept him from seeing that the suits no longer fit. Or both. The black suit and red tie was considered a power suit back in the 1980s. Today it makes the president look dated and unwilling to even consider that things might change over 30 years. Then again, maybe he is trying to look like a person who believes things don’t change over the course of 30 or more years. Heaven knows That some his base consider that a very desireable trait.

Maybe he should consider wearing a tan suit. I hear it did wonders for Obama.

He's been lying about his height for a while. Given his propensity for self delusion, he could be having his suits tailored to fit the 6' 3" man he claims to be.
 
So how is this "National Emergency" thing going?

Is it serious enough to give up at least a day or two out of his permanent weekend at his golf club to actually do something about it? Is it serious enough to stop being thin-skinned about what SNL said about him last night to do something about it? And what about all that time and effort tweet-storming his insecurities, fascist dictatorial biases and petty chest-thumping? More important than this "National Emergency"? I thought this "wall" thing was vitally important. Seems SNL and his brittle pride are more so.

Seriously. Who's a globally-visible triggered little snowflake now. The MAGA crowd must be SO proud of him. :rolleyes:

At the 538 site, click individual polls. Ipsos gives party affilition. About 80% of Republican approve. 89% of Democrats plus 58% of independents disapprove. Adult Americans 57% disapprove, Ipsos.
 
With each passing day I feel more strongly that this Trump administration is an infestation of vermin that warrants a good and thorough fumigation. And the GOP 'base' will require the equivalent of the de-Nazification Germany underwent. In some instances rather literally.

Yeah, I'm letting emotion get the better of me. But as a Canadian it's saddening and alarming to see the extent to which so many our southern friends have bought into the insincere spoutings a soulless, self-interested demagogue evincing all the hollowness of celebrity. All because their 'Leader' promises to hurt the other and thereby ease their fears of the erasing of the Manifest Destiny they've bought into. Down with brown. Guns, judges and Jesus, inc.
