Iran calls to destroy Israel, solves the "who's gonna hit Iran's nukes" question.

But merphie, I didn't insult you because I don't agree with you. I insulted you because all you have said so far in this thread was either irrelevant or trivial.

See, I don't agree with a lot of people on this board, and I haven't intentionally insulted them.

Usually, I only insult people who deserve it.

It you say so saint.

It's more like you said something and you don't like people who disagree with you. Insults seem to be a normal tactic for you.

You talk like a normal person until cornered.

A roomful of dithering saints may well need an "a-hole" when confronted with a problem they lack the resolve to address. Can't you be content with being a dithering saint?

Hey, I ain't no saint, and I'm sure ain't dithering! If the a-hole in question is the US of A, well, you'll have to prove to me that the a-hole's attitude is actually improving something. From where I'm sitting, it seems to me that the a-hole is making things worse.

Sigh... Hey merphie, English isn't my first language. What's your excuse? Fat fingers? General ignorance?

Cartman: I was just layin' down some rhymes, with the G-folk, you know, kickin' it on the west siy-eede.
Kyle: You live on the EAST side, Cartman.

And like the UN, you fail to notice that your empty words and meaningless affectation of moral superiority have affected your surroundings NOT AT ALL, except a modest (if insincere) improvement in your own self-image.

I hope you find a lesson in this irony.

And from where I'm sitting, that's irrelevant. Your assumption that the purpose of an a-hole is merely to improve in your eyes is a little confusing. You honestly can't see any possible use for a contrarian 800-lb. gorilla in a world forum defined by inaction and corruption? None at all? How curious.

BTW, your attitude betrays your youth, Orwell. Nothing wrong with that, of course, I used to know everything too. I can't convince you of anything that a little time and experience won't do better, so godspeed on your journey into adulthood.

The "800-pound gorilla" is directly responsible for a lot of the corruption and inaction. Your country is as much part of the problem as other countries are, if not more. The fact that you're a "my country, right or wrong" jingo and a partisan hack keeps you from even admitting this bleeding obvious fact.

I'm probably not as young as you think I am, and frankly, I fail to see how my age is relevant to the subject.

By the way, our bickering is probably boring the other members (I know it's boring me but hey), so if you wanna keep trading insults, lets do it over private messages, ok?

Could you please write coherent phrases, so that I can at least understand your insults? Is that asking too much?

I could probably write it in crayon if that is what you need. I never wanted to trade insults with anyone. However that seems like the only thing you are in the mood for. Debate or conversation seem impossible with you.

If you are unable to understand why I ever mentioned the japanese in the context of the discussion, don't bother posting. If you are unable to distinguish between Iran and Iraq, don't bother posting on a thread about Iran. If you can't get your facts straight, don't bother posting. Finally, if you are unable to just say "I meant to say Iran, sorry", don't bother posting.

You're obviously just posting here to engage in pissing contests and bad faith arguments, and I have better things to do.

Iranians shout slogans, as they burn U.S. and Israeli flags during a demonstration in front of the former U.S. Embassy in a ceremony commemorating the 26th anniversary of the seizure of the U.S. Embassy by militant students, in Tehran, Iran, Wednesday, Nov. 2, 2005.

TEHRAN, Iran Nov 2, 2005 — Iran's hard-line government said Wednesday it was removing 40 ambassadors and senior diplomats, including supporters of warmer ties with the West, from their posts in a shake-up that comes as the Islamic republic takes a more confrontational international stance.

The moves give the new government of ultraconservative President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad the chance to purge pro-reform figures brought in by his predecessor, moderate Mohammad Khatami, and install its own supporters.

Ahmadinejad's victory in June elections sealed the decline of Iran's reform movement and solidified the control of hard-liners over the government. Some Iranians fear Ahmadinejad a longtime member of Iran's elite Revolutionary Guards will bring back the policies of restrictions at home and confrontation abroad seen after the 1979 Islamic Revolution led by Ayatollah Ruhollah Khomeini.

Just more harmless rhetoric.

Nothing to worry about here.

manny:
"If someone called for me to be wiped off the map and threatened anyone who talked to be with being burned in fury, I'd sure as heck bomb their nuclear facilities, wouldn't you?"

Jeeze, I agree with you!
The Israels have been wiping Palestine of the map for decades...just one thing though, I haven`t noticed any US President or UK Prime Minister getting their knickers in a twist and all "repulsed" about it, have you?

Dr. Phyllis Starkey (Milton Keynes, South-West) (Lab) speaking to the House of Commons on 26 Oct 2005:
"In Israel, I was given the national parks authority map, which shows Israel including—without any internal borders whatsoever—all the Palestinian territory and the Golan heights, which are occupied Syrian territory. Most Israelis appear to think that those are Israel's accepted borders, but they are not accepted by anyone else. Israelis need to understand that. "

Militia boasts of role in Sabra massacre
"Israel's Defence Minister at the time, Ariel Sharon, authorised the entry of members of Gemayel's Lebanese Forces (a Phalangist militia) and Saad Haddad's South Lebanon Army into the Sabra and Shatila refugee camps, home to 30,000 Palestinians whose refugee families had moved to Lebanon in successive waves since 1948.

The camps had been sealed off by Israeli tanks.
...
One of the most controversial revelations in the film is the alleged extent of Israeli involvement in the preparation and execution of the operation, down to providing body bags before the killings began. 'You'll be needing these,' one of the militiamen is told by an Israeli officer."

Isreal wiped of the map? I won`t be shedding any tears.

(And I`ll add Capel`s addendum to that too if he will allow..."Doing away with Israel does not mean doing away with Jews. Just thought I should point that out.")

A democracy and relatively free country, being wiped off the map by totalitarian dictatorships that use tried and true methods of religious hatred to redirect their population's anger against small, external non-threats, doesn't even bother you?

Demon (and CapelDodger):

Don't you think that, at this point, this doing away with Israel talk is a pointless? It's there, and it's not going away. Talking about it going away actually makes the job of the "Israel-right-or-wrong" gang easier.

Now, if by doing away with Israel, you mean doing away with Israel as it is now, well, I agree with that.

I mean, modern states are increasingly moving away from ethnic or religious definitions of citizenship. In the US and Canada, if you live in their territory, and if you pay your taxes, you are considered a citizen (or you have nearly the same privileges as citizens). I can't see why Israel shouldn't work the same way.

So green cards are worthless?
