Today's Mass Shooting

In (some degree of) fairness I do legit wonder what the violent crime statistics are going to be like for Trump's first year in office.

Violent crime has been on a pretty steady downswing for a while now, through both Democratic and Republican administrations while the instances have been garnering more media attention.

I wonder if that's still true or not.

Doesn't matter anything sloghtly negative and he rants about "fake news" and his supporters slurp up his bull **** like it's mana from heaven and spew out conspiracy theories with the brown taint still freshly surrounding their mouths, and then they blame everyone else for their sickness. Trump is a cult. No sense no logic, just cheap slogans and phrases.

Well, if only they had armed guards. Like they should have on schools. Or sport clubs. Or churches. Or music festivals.
After all, only by adding more guns does the US get safer.

Thoughts and prayers. Thoughts and prayers are what will prevent the next mass shooting. There will be other ideas put forward like more people carrying guns to defend themselves, but nothing as useful as the thoughts and prayers.

Thoughts are one thing, but prayers? Sometimes I think its all the religious baggage that leads some of these folks to go bonkers. (Much like Trump's need to defend our border by sending troops to defend our country against 3000 rock throwing criminals)

At least 5 people killed at SunTrust Bank in Sebring, Florida, police say

CNN said:
A gunman who barricaded himself in a SunTrust Bank in Florida killed at least five people in the branch on Wednesday, Sebring Police Chief Karl Hoglund said.

The suspect called authorities to say he had entered the bank in Sebring, about 85 miles south of Orlando, and began shooting, according to Hoglund. Authorities identified the suspect as 21-year-old Sebring resident Zephen Xaver, who is in custody...

The incident began with the phone call to authorities from the suspect shortly after 12:30 p.m., officials said.

"I have shot five people," the caller said, according to Sebring Police. Sebring Police and Highlands County Sheriff's Office deputies responded to the scene. Initial negotiations to try to get the barricaded suspect to leave the bank were not successful, so a SWAT team entered the bank and continued negotiations.

The suspect eventually surrendered to the SWAT team at the bank along US-27, between Lake Jackson and Little Lake Jackson, police said.

The FBI and the Florida Department of Law Enforcement are assisting in the case. Authorities are still investigating the motive...

It doesn't seem like a bank robbery with the killer calling the police to announce what he has done.

I had read an earlier report saying that he killed everyone inside the bank. There were 5 people inside and he killed them all. I can't find that anymore and it might not be true or is unconfirmed.
