Did this report of his fake bone spur "spur" Trump into a showy visit to the troops in Irag? Or was he just getting lonely in his isolated bunker at the White House (Fox News in, tweet storm out doesn't require a lot of his time)?

Question: given the government shutdown who is paying for his transportation, protection, and support on this trip? I am pretty certain that other government employees in general can not travel, attend meetings, be fed or housed using government funds during the shutdown. The people I know who had arranged such trips on government business, or government funded business (i.e. medical researchers on NIH grants) before the shutdown have had to cancel them.

A lot of people aren't aware of this, but the House of Representatives controls the White House Budget. They can if they choose, make Trump's life miserable at the White House. I fully expect them to do this if the shutdown lasts much into the New Year.

Aha! That may prove very interesting indeed!

If Trump chooses to keep the shut-down going indefinitely, what can anyone do about it?

Is there a process to circumvent a recalcitrant President?

Could not a 2/3's vote of the Senate overcome a Trump veto of the continuing funding legislation? Not suggesting that would happen, but in theory?

The man is supposed to have an MBA. MBA courses love to teach game theory. Game theory does teach that there are other favorable outcomes outside of zero sum game parameters.

Trump appears to understand none of this. It is like he purchased the MBA without ever doing anything work.

In short.... he's an idiot.
This source (there are others) says he has a BS degree, not an MS.

Just like his wife is supposed to have a degree, no one could support that with evidence, it was written on her bio page someone made up.

Here's a compilation of Trump saying "Wharton School of Finance"

"it's the hardest school to get into," as he says, maybe because it doesn't exist?)

I don't know and I'd rather not spend a lot of time studying US government regulations. I'm just curious about what might happen if Trump digs his heels in over the shut-down.

If 2/3's of the Senate don't vote to overcome Trump's veto, what happens then?

Can the Senate and the House get together and ignore a Presidential veto? Do they need to?

Would someone have to invoke the 25th amendment?
