Virtually every Democrat we are dealing with today strongly supported a Border Wall or Fence. It was only when I made it an important part of my campaign, because people and drugs were pouring into our Country unchecked, that they turned against it. Desperately needed!

To those few Senators who think I don’t like or appreciate being allied with other countries, they are wrong, I DO. What I don’t like, however, is when many of these same countries take advantage of their friendship with the United States, both in Military Protection and Trade...

....We are substantially subsidizing the Militaries of many VERY rich countries all over the world, while at the same time these countries take total advantage of the U.S., and our TAXPAYERS, on Trade. General Mattis did not see this as a problem. I DO, and it is being fixed!

Mattis’s departure seems to be provoking unease, especially considering how dangerous our nuclear-command arrangements are. The notion that Mattis, a former four-star Marine Corps general, could have blocked or defied a move by Trump to impulsively launch nuclear weapons may have seemed comforting, but it shouldn’t have been. The secretary of defense has no legal position in the nuclear chain of command, and any attempts by a secretary of defense to prevent the president from exercising the authority to use nuclear weapons would be undemocratic and illegal. With or without Mattis, the president has unchecked and complete authority to launch nuclear weapons based on his sole discretion.

I can't bring myself to believe Mnuchin is so naive. It has to be on orders from Trump. He has apparently been trying to fire the Fed Chairman as punishment for the market slumping in response to his own dumbass chaos. I find the following conversation plausible:

Trump: Steve, we gotta get these markets up. Why do they keep dropping?
Mnuchin: Because our economic policy boils down to "take all you can and give nothing back," and people are starting to catch on.
Trump: Well you gotta fix it. You gotta fix this. I want you to call the banks and tell them everything's fine.
Mnuchin: That would be retarded. It'll freak them out.
Trump: Just do it Steve, or you're fired! I gotta fire someone over this! Call EVERY bank, and tell them we have enough money!
Mnuchin: Alright, fine, whatever.

Sure, he can start World War III, but in the meantime this daily assault on grammar is kind of a drip-drip-drip version of the nuclear holocaust.
