This. This is what our 2000 personnel were there for. Regional stabilization.

As long as we're embedded with the Kurds, then Turkey can't go too far.

Withdrawing our forces as epilogue to Syria becomes the prologue to another conflict.

Not to mention, god damn. How many times can we just shamelessly stab the Kurds in the back like that?

Ann Coulter is a racist moron. She's mad that Trump isnt going to shut the government down.

Never mind that the Trump administration announced today it is removing sanctions against some Russian companies. That the US is abandoning Syria to Russia, Iran, Turkey and Iran.

Russia is ******* thrilled. US Allies are pissed.
 
Which reminds me. Russia has relationships with the Shia arc (Iraq could easily be drawn further into this), somehow held Turkey in it's orbit despite some tension earlier in the war, Putin high-fives MBS at world summits, the Senate (still majority Republican I remind you) wants to pull support from the war in Yemen, and we're leaving Syria.

Does the U.S. actually have a hand in the Muslim Middle East right now?

Maybe that's the real reason Trump is pulling troops out. To curry favor with Turkey.

ETA: To make up for not extraditing Gulen, and for Trump's refusal to criticize MBS.

These folks are the reason places like South Carolina are building a legal wall to stop the 2020 GOP primaries in their states. Expect more. The deplorables only did a momentary shift to the Trumplican party. The Tea Party is still out there and don't have any real love for fast-talking New Yorker rich folks. There is no danger that they actually take down Trump in a primary state, but there are enough of them to make it an interesting barn dance. If Trump keeps on keeping on and doesn't deliver on his swing-dickery, they'll go to alternate candidates or stay home come the GE. South Carolina is just patching it over so as to not even get the dialogue started. Look for states like Oklahoma and Arkansas to try the same. None of the primaries mean squat but they don't need to lose that deplorable base.
 
Trump's impulsive announcement to withdraw from Syria, apparently against the advice of everyone, contrary to Trump's repeated criticism of Obama for announcing US intentions, has piss tape written all over it. Or whatever Putin holds over him.

Apart and aside, the way the announcement was accompanied by that bizarre video was flat out bizarre.
 
Jesus Christ, did Pelosi hand Der Trumpenführer his arse today or what... a funding deal to prevent the government shutdown, with the Dems not conceding a single, solitary penny for his wall, and with the House still holding a GOP majority too!!

Trump is simply nowhere near smart enough to deal with Pelosi. She is very intelligent, very savvy and very experienced, while Trump is just clueless.

She will run circles around Donny for the next two years!
