I can't see the revival of the ACA fight being a good thing for Republicans.

They all agree that they hate the ACA, but that's it. No ideas, after all these years and public moaning, of what to actually replace it with. Some want to go back to the bad old days, some want minor tweaks, and some have no ideas at all.

The ACA is a stopgap with many, many annoying problems. The only thing worse than the ACA is the situation that existed before it became law.

Following in the path of Judge Whackjob Napolitano, Fox commentator Andrew McCarthy takes down Trump over "rat", likening Trump to a mafia boss. McCarthy is a sharia-is-coming CT whacko in his own right.

The tide is turning.

Sorry no link. Damn phones.

Hell, they don't even know why they hate it.

But it's not pro-military. The Army opened a second investigation of the incident involving Major Matt Golsteyn near the end of 2016.

This is a military court, not a civilian one.

I do agree he is using this to appeal to a group of people who are racist and believe that a military officer has the right to execute and burn the body of a prisoner without due process.

Except he wasn't a prisoner. He'd been released.

Imagine if a cop arrested someone, hauled 'em in, and they were released with no charges. Then the cop goes to the guy's house, kills him, hides the body, and then a little later digs it up and burns it.

He'd be ...

...

...

... never mind.

Hey, when he dug up the body, it looked like it had a gun....

Not really.

Trusting the leader and having also seen other detainees released, Golsteyn allegedly told CIA interviewers that he and another soldier took the alleged bomb-maker off base, shot him and buried his remains.

He also allegedly told the interviewers that on the night of the killing, he and two other soldiers dug up the body and burned it in a trash pit on base.

I occasionally read McCarthy's demented columns. He'll be on board until the bitter end.

On December 17, 1903, the first successful flight of Wilbur and Orville Wright's handcrafted biplane ushered in the age of aviation and changed the course of history.

Trump's once again risking an Argentina style crisis with his continuing meddling with the US Federal Reserve.

Politicians meddling with monetary policy to help their own agenda and election chances is the primary countries currency ends up like Argentina's. If this practice becomes normalized, sooner or later the US will end up as a third world country.

If I had to guess, Trump is the only one to trumpet about this routine annual proclamation since the day was first established by Eisenhower.

Well, you got me there.

Can someone please set up autocorrect on his phone so that it spells 'Border' correctly, as I keep thinking he's talking about pirates.

Could it be he's doing that so he can delete the erroneous Tweet (along with all the initial thousands of comments) in order to make a "correction"?

Nah, that would require some thought.

(That Tweet was modified and re-posted, though. I don't think you can actually edit Tweets.)

In Trump's mind, all deals are private. 'Public interest' means nothing to him

After two years of Trump we may have overlooked the essence of his insanity: his brain sees only private interests transacting. It doesn’t comprehend the public interest.

Private transactions can’t be wrong or immoral because, by definition, they require that every party to them be satisfied. Otherwise there wouldn’t be a deal.

Viewed this way, everything else falls into place.

For example, absent a public interest, there can’t be conflicts of interest.
