The truth keeps coming out:
A report prepared for the Senate that provides the most sweeping analysis yet of Russia’s disinformation campaign around the 2016 election found the operation used every major social media platform to deliver words, images and videos tailored to voters’ interests to help elect President Trump — and worked even harder to support him while in office.

“What is clear is that all of the messaging clearly sought to benefit the Republican Party — and specifically Donald Trump,” the report says. “Trump is mentioned most in campaigns targeting conservatives and right-wing voters, where the messaging encouraged these groups to support his campaign. The main groups that could challenge Trump were then provided messaging that sought to confuse, distract and ultimately discourage members from voting.”

Women have come forward with such claims, no one cared before. You forget the rape claims after the access Hollywood tape? No one cared then. So it doesn't seem a strong argument that it would have come out before when it did come out before.

Trump is great at lying to get what he wants, see what he promised Stormy Daniels. Sex with him to further their career is par for the course for how he gets women into bed so why not here?

I do agree he is using this to appeal to a group of people who are racist and believe that a military officer has the right to execute and burn the body of a prisoner without due process.

Eta: cruelty and trolling are his trademarks. He can't suddenly go benign and mature, more than South Park can suddenly transform itself into a family-friendly sitcom. He's trapped in his "Chaos Bully" MO.

You know this is a very valid point. I grew up in a Christian household, and my Dad was a preach her for a rather fundamentalist sect (not foaming-at-the-mouth fundamentalist, but more the original back-to-only-what-the-Bible-says fundamentalist).

And SG's statement above is perfectly accurate at depicting the thinking within many of the Protestant religions in the U.S., particularly the south: There isn't God, Satan, and secularism. Non-God isn't secular, it's Satan's influence. There is no middle ground.

That's the problem. The New Testament is very clear on that one point.

But even the strictest fundamentalist picks and chooses and rationalizes the text in the Bible. The Shabbat is Saturday not Sunday. A non-virgin bride is to be killed by the groom, an unruly child may be brought to the edge of town and stoned and slavery is not only permitted, it is promoted. Daughters are chattel and fathers can marry them off or sell them as slaves and women have no say.

Modern fundamentalist Christians dismiss all that, but still say homosexuality is an abomination although they don't follow through with the command to stone them.

And even most interesting is those that are wealthy. No problem crapping on the poor.

When the Democrat-controlled congress passed Obamacare, they took over a year, and held dozens of public hearings on various aspects of the plan.

The last time the Republican-lead congress tried to change health care, they spent a fraction of the time, and didn't really consult with the Democrats or the public at large. Basically they crafted the legislation in secret. And when the Republicans crafted their tax bill (which eliminated the health care insurance mandate, a significant part of Obamacare), again the democrats were not consulted for their input; in fact, the Democrats ended up having to vote on a bill that had portions scribbled in unreadable hand-writing in the margins.

And NOW President Stubby McBonespurs decides to single out Democrats for their role in crafting health care legislation?
 
That stylized spelling of HealthCare looks to be an autocorrect thing that spells it like "HealthCare.gov." Trump must be a big fan.
