Please note that a number of posts over the last 3 pages have been moved to AAH for various off-topic posts, bickering, name-calling, and even insulting members who aren't even participants in this thread. Infractions have been handed out to some and more may follow. Discussion should remain focussed on the Mueller investigation and not on other posters. Your compliance is appreciated.

But this is what Dear Leader wants

Trump thinks the DoJ is there to do his bidding, that the AG is his personal lawyer, and that the FBI is his private investigation squad. He wants them to investigate and prosecute his political adversaries, and is too stupid to understand why he can't..
And he thinks he's in charge of private companies like GM. Seriously, telling an automaker they won't be treated well because they are laying people off and it embarrasses Trump.

The bizarre just keeps on giving.

This is from The Daily Beast, but.... we'll see how true it is soon enough.

Special counsel Robert Mueller’s office is preparing to reveal to the public a different side of his investigation. In court filings that are set to drop in early 2019, prosecutors will begin to unveil Middle Eastern countries’ attempts to influence American politics, three sources familiar with this side of the probe told The Daily Beast.

That is what Comey claimed, and you believe that ******* nonsense? McCabe who actually talked to the guys who said that he was truthful and it was not a great start to a false statements case.

They said there were inconsistencies between his statement and transcripts they had but did not show him.

Not a violation of 18 usc 1001.

/oh dear, in addition to the facts I have been raining down, I just cited a legal authority, indeed the legal authority. I betcha a nickel that the leftist will continue to **** post and call the big dog a troll, because they literally have nothing. Say, y'all let TBD what else you need explained.

Luckily Smartcooky has quoted what had been said.

"that the agents observed none of the common indicia of lying — physical manifestations, changes in tone, changes in pace — that would indicate the person I’m interviewing knows they’re telling me stuff that ain’t true.” “They didn’t see that here. It was a natural conversation, answered fully their questions, didn’t avoid. That notwithstanding, they concluded he was lying.”

That is what Comey claimed

No, its what he testified to.

Can you find anywhere, actual FBI agents who interviewed Flynn stating that "Flynn was not lying" or that "Flynn told the truth"?

If so, post that evidence

If not, shut up!

In any case, its all moot, because Flynn admitted that he lied, and despite all the controversy surrounding the way he was interviewed, which would mean he has had plenty of opportunity to retract that admission, he STILL insists that he lied.

Game Over!

I see the evidence does not exist that could convice TBD that Donald Trump is capable not just of wrongdoing, but of error of any kind.
Though TBD attacks anyone connected to the Mueller investigation, I don't see him actually defend Trump much.

I don't think character attacks are going to work well against Muller himself. Just 7 years ago the Senate voted 100-0 to extend his stint as FBI director. You don't chalk up that kind of vote of confidence by accident. Trump meanwhile is making false or misleading statements every day - sometimes dozens of times in a day - and the Senate is well aware of that.

Think of defense in good old NFL, Monsters of the Midway fashion. Keeping attackers from the quarterback is what an offensive line does. Defense is taking the ball away from the other team.

Made me LOL!

When the OJ trial was wrapping up, I thought the prosecution should have used a puzzle like that, with each piece being another bit of evidence against OJ.

Probably would have been acquitted anyway, but I think it would have been a powerful closing argument.

HRC used a private email server. This is bad because there could have been a security breach that left the US vulnerable to hostile foreign actors. Meanwhile, in realityland . . .

1) Ivanka Trump used a private email server and no one in the "lock her up" crowd seems to care.
2) Trump, his family, and his cronies *sought out* hostile foreign actors specifically to disrupt the democratic process of the 2016 election.
The complete lack of principles is why I don't want trumpkins in my life. Anything goes as long as it's der Führer doing it. Horribly threatening to democracy.

Walls are closing in.
Amen to that.

I was discussing Trump with someone who thought he was being persecuted. I said one easy way to avoid such was to simply not break the law.

Their response? “Well, don’t you speed sometimes?”

What’s the logical fallacy here? False equivalency?
Yep, or maybe what I got as an answer to a similar question yesterday:

I just call it complete ********.
