If the Democrats do not give us the votes to secure our Country, the Military will build the remaining sections of the Wall. They know how important it is!
Buwaha!
He thinks the Pentagon is going to spend its budget on the Wall?
Never mind the fact that the DOJ has stated that there was no possible reason for Trump sending 5,000 troops near the border before the Midterms.
Does the pentagon even have the authority to allocate so much of their funding to building a wall, without congressional approval?

Not really. The US Federal Budget is a huge and complicated beast to put it lightly and the military is given some level of discretionary spending, but most of it is earmarked for specific things. We can't just not buy the F-35s and tanks and Littoral Combat ships that Congress wants and we don't and spend the excess on hookers and blow.

But America is weird anyway in that whole regard. We're pretty much the only country that things like government shutdowns over budget and "dedt limit" can happen because we're the only country where the Parliamentary Branch can literally order the Executive Branch to spend X amount of money, then give them a budget that is literally less than X amount of money, and blame them when the numbers don't ad up.

more importantly, the Pentagon can't just take the land and build a wall on it if it is held by a State or by a private entity.
Remeber the Cards Against Humanity Fundraiser?:

Even if all the funds for the Wall were available yesterday, the litigation to get it build would take probably a decade.

Yep.

I'm trying very, very hard to impress upon my Democratic, Liberal, and Progressive friends that they really, really need to stop looking at the impeachment of Trump as the end of the battle.

It's not even the beginning of the battle. It's the catalyst for the beginning of the battle.

Yep laws don't matter because they are holding the country hostage.

Wow. There's a point where Pelosi so owned Trump.

Sorry no link. I suspect this will be looping on the news for the next 24 hrs.

Also no link, but...

Dolt 45 is being baited and dunked on by freaking Chuck Schumer.

Man Trump got so owned. I can't wait until... goes ahead and does whatever he wants anyway.

Getting owned would be great if Trump and Pelosi were in a rap battle. It's meaningless in politics.

There was a point where Elizabeth Warren owned Mitch McConnell. It was a total mic drop moment. Trending hashtag on Twitter, t-shirts, campaign slogans. Every one loved it.

And then the Republicans went ahead and keep doing what they were doing anyway. Jess Sessions still became the Attorney General. It accomplished nothing.

Also, both sides coming out of it thinking they did great is not "owning" anything.

The other side gets to talk about how trump made her quit because she can't handle it.

I know! Still, Schumer's word choice and demeanor weren't optimal. I think Pelosi owned both of them.

Of course not, it's Chuck Schumer, he's awful. I wouldn't expect Dolt 45 to stand a chance against Pelosi, she's a remarkably gifted politician, particularly when she's in her element like this.

(Might I add, this is why I've been so annoyed at so-called "progressives" yelling about how we absolutely have to get rid of her, while giving Schumer a complete pass until very recently? For all the talk about how her only skill is fundraising, and for all their posturing as the guys who truly see everyone as equal, they've been vastly underestimating her for years now, much as they did with Hillary.)

I take the small pleasures when and where I can get them.

Apparently "what he wants" is to take full ownership of any government shutdown over his unpopular wall.

Oddly, that's not what he seemed to want going in - but he got baited into this position.

Could you give a little indication about what being 'owned' means in this context?

I know there was a meeting between Trump and Pelosi where issues of funding came up, and that Trump seemed to be OK with a government shutdown. Was that what you were referring to?

Pelosi said it more artfully, but what she said in essence:

We don't want to make you look like a raving ignoramus in public. We'll spare you the indignity and do that in private.

add: I composed this before the question was posed above, but I'm ok with this as my answer.

I think a better way to 'own' trump would be to remind him (in front of the cameras) that during the election he was promising that Mexico would pay for the wall. Then watch him try to justify adding the wall to the U.S. budget.
