Full stop. Hold your horses. Whoa. I think it's now official. I'm having a vivid dream.
I've known sovereign-citizen types who believe in open immigration. It's a tenet of some Libertarian doctrine that people have a right to move freely and pursue their self-interest by competing for jobs that they can make a living from but many Americans can't. It's not as farfetched as it sounds, IMO.

ANd people wonder why I don't discount the possiblitly it will come to armed resistence when it comes to Trump.
Probably because they believe it's unnecessary and/or counterproductive and that the political process will serve opponents better than some poorly coordinated and outgunned armed uprising.

Unnecessary now, yes. But despite the democratic win in the house, I still am concerned about a out and out power grab by the right.
I agree armed resistence should be a last resort, and we are not at that last resort yet, but it bears thinking about.

Russia Today?

I was surprised by the small average Social Security benefit. My mom and I are basically living on her benefit, but she was married to a lawyer and WWII vet who worked for 50 years. I don't count on much SS for my retirement but I hope it's more than $1,400.

Then don't even think of taking it before age 67.

I think RT probably means "retweet."

SS benefits are based on your highest 35 years of working income. You can do a rough calculation on the SS website.

Yeah, I think so too.

I even worry about removing Trump via legal means. On the one hand, he ought to be impeached and removed. I believe that.

On the other hand, such an effort will drive the divisions in our nation further. I don't want that.

Lindsey Graham is not allowing the Kashoggi state-conducted murder and butchery to be swept under the rug, pushing back on the shifty Whitehouse move of keeping a CIA representive out of briefing.

Senator Lindsey Graham of South Carolina said Wednesday that he would not support a new government-funding bill or the confirmation of Republican judicial nominees until the CIA is allowed to brief lawmakers on the assassination of Saudi journalist Jamal Khashoggi.

“I’m not going to blow past this. If that briefing is not given soon, it’s gonna be hard for me to vote for any spending bill,” Graham told reporters on Capitol Hill.

What say you resident Trump apologists?

Gobsmacked since Graham has been such a lickspittle for Trump in recent months.
Or maybe Graham dediced that, given what lies ahead, he does not want to be attorney general after all.

Or he's gotten the message the Trump isn't going to appoint him.

Or there is blood in the water and he's an especially eager shark.

The indications are that even some in what was considered Trump's base are starting to give up on him. I don't think Graham has ever had love, like, indifference for Trump, and that motivates him more than many in the GOP to be more eager to turn on him. This could be just floated out there to see if anyone else backs him up. Let's see if he actually does it and it isn't just more talk.

It's possible it's principles as well, but, well, Graham hasn't held those up well as of late.

Agreed. Graham's as trustworthy as Trump, a man Graham once called a “race-baiting xenophobic bigot” .
